“Queue and Service”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Stopped here while on a Boat trip with family for Sunday lunch , They have two queues for food one for Sunday Carvery and Drinks the other for Drinks and non carvery food ,
When finally served you recive a ticket for the carvery and then queue again , The choice is Beef , Turkey or Gammon , we waited so long for veg etc that the meat was cold ,

The staff where not interested in our issues at all , We saw many people complain about the service but no staff had any interest in our problems

It is a shame as the venue is in a great place and could do so well ,

Went for sons birthday. Location great and loved the fact the park was in view of river but far enough away for safety. Group of 4 and child; 2 went for 2 for £10 and portions were very reasonable to the price. I ordered the mac and cheese with bacon, chips and a steak and sautéed onion ciabatta. When mine came the mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. The chips were very expensive but were crisp and nice. My steak in the ciabatta was cooked perfectly. But couldn't understand why instead of sauteed onions they thought it was okay to put raw red onion in large chunks in. For £6.30 for just a sandwich I complained and got them to sort it out.

Silly mistakes or maybe they thought they'd chance it? But put a sad note on my service.

Waitor was good but service was pretty rubbish and slow tbh.

I visited this pub a year a go and the food was really nice so when I went recently was really disappointed when I was served undercooked food. The pork belly I ordered was served pink and with a layer of soggy fat on top. Very disappointed. The veg it was served with was a brown colour not very appealing. I sent the food back to be cooked properly but in the end I couldn't eat it. The ladies toilets also had no working lights. I think the pub has changed management and it's a real shame as lovely location just let down by the food.

First visit for a few years and it was an utter farce. Despite it not being full the queues for ordering were huge but I persisted (wish I hadn't). It appeared they only had half the menu available so I had to take two trips back to the table to get 2nd and 3rd options. Finally order and wait, wait some more, wait even more and eventually, 50 minutes after I ordered my starter arrived...with my main course!!

After I explained the concept of starter/main/dessert, the waiter took the mains back only to produce exactly the same plates of food 20 minutes later, burnt on top and stone cold under the burnt skin that formed.

I took them to the bar, queued for another 15 minutes, gave them the plates, got my money back and left. I won't return.

Came here for lunch today, the place was very busy and the service was the only downside, they need to review the way they take orders, spent a long time queuing at the bar to order food, however once the good arrived, which was quite quick considering how busy it was,the meals were very tasty and well presented, good value for money and would visit again, both inside and outside areas lovely and menu is varied.
If they could sort out the ordering to avoid two long queues at the bar it would have been excellent

We tried to visit this lovely inn a few weeks ago but it was packed so we went elsewhere and had a lovely meal. We visited The Rose Revived again this evening for a meal. It was not busy at all - possibly because it was terrible. The service was slow and not particularly helpful. The food was only just edible. Fish and chips tasted as if the oil needed to be changed and the gammon steak tasted of the stale oil as well. Left a poor after-taste.
I don't think we will be rushing back again.

A beautiful evening so decided to go for a meal and a bottle of wine. Wine was fine but when we went to order food we told its 20 minutes wait for your starter then 50 (yes 50) minutes for the main. But you can have them both at the same time and the wait will be 50 minutes. No they weren't full by any stretch of the imagination. Left there and went to the Black Horse in Standlake which was friendly and the food lovely.
