Great little Town nice place to visit England at it's best, cricket on the green. we found a great restaurant pub called the Fleece looking out at the church and spent a pleasant evening eating and talking just a little drinking.

We were visiting Burford for a friend's wedding and stayed at the Premier Inn at Witney as there weren't any other places to find that was reasonably priced for 2 nights. we booked in advance and got a somewhat reasoanble deal. The hotel was very clean, relatively new as it appeared and comfortable. The staff were generally ok. the wifi could do with being free than just 30 mins as mobile signals are poor in the room to use own. The breakfast was not badly priced but had to ask the staff for various things to be topped up which they quite happily did. The milk was off in the coffee machine whihc was awkward. You should ensure this isn't the case. Croissants were requested to be warmed up as they had specified, and they were simply microwaved and given back which made it horribly spongy. Had to justify why we needed veggie sausages when we said we didn't see any when we asked for some. The chef said he had just unloaded some and clearly none were on the table and he asked if we were sure we needed them. I was annoyed at it. otherwise food was ok and so was the hotel.

Title says it all. All that you'd expect from a Premier Inn, comfy and clean, easy check in, good location and nights sleep. Well worth staying in if your visiting the Witney area - but see separate post on Restaurant which is an absolute disgrace.

Stayed in Aug at Witney PI. Room not very clean, had hairs in the bath. At dinner options I wanted not available due to running out of stock. At breakfast they had no eggs, this a first for me. Hotel offering a hot breakfast but runs out of eggs. The place was generally disorganised with friendly but with what seemed poorly trained staff

Bed comfort was great, lack of opening widows was a real negative especially as, like all hotels, the air cooling in the room is noisy. As for he bathroom extractor it was like a jet taking off. The real problem was lack of a suitable bar - usually PIs are adjacent to a reasonable pub; this one isn't - the restaurant/'bar' is integral and really designed only for food, not relaxation. Had to go out to achieve what most other PIs offer as standard. Cramped and tight car park
