Everything about this place is excellent from the reception (Quite small) to the audio tour which is very well done and succeeds in setting the scene and creating the atmosphere which enfolds the whole site .
The tour takes you through all the buildings and explains clearly and simply how they were used. You can really appreciate the vastness of the church, experience the life of the monks in your imagination and also feel the peace and beauty of the environment. The history of the buildings and the priory is very well explained from its creation to its sad demise, a result of corruption and greed probably. Much Wenlock itself provides a good range of tea shops and pubs, and an excellent couple of book shops. You can't go wrong. Make it a Priority!
