My son took me to the Narrowboat for my birthday lunch, we had been before in the summer and had enjoyed our meals so decided to return. So glad we did, we were a little early (time was of the essence), but sat and watched the boats and generally chilled out. We were made very welcome and told to go and sit and the owner would bring our drinks, mine was a perfect gin and tonic just the right amount of ice and lemon. The menu is full of local produce, my son had a starter of chicken slices with salad, we both had steak with the most beautiful onion rings and mushrooms, and chips and peas. Followed by sweet of banana split and sticky toffee pudding these were both perfect. Although we were in a bit of a rush we decided to sit a while longer watching a longboat moor up. A lovely meal in very nice surroundings, we will return. This is also a dog friendly place.

The narrowboat is a quaint canal-side pub with excellent food. It is easily accessible from the highway or canal and offer a variety of dishes served piping hot and made to order. Outdoor picnic tables along the canal offer appeal if the weather is fine. Those arriving on narrowboat have the advantage of easy access to the ship chandlers next door. There is adequate mooring space before the bridge to allow a lunch or suppertime stop.

Last night of our canal boat holiday, we ate here. The menu choices had all the basics, and some tasty specials. Decor is trying to reflect its canal boat connections and was clean and tidy. May not be modern enough for some but food and service were great and that was the main thing.

We came across this pub whilst on a narrow boat holiday. It iswhat it is....yes the inside isn't modern, however, we encountered great service and good food and would recommend if you're sailing by bridge 5

Had dinner here whilst on holiday on the Llangollen canal
Food was basic & expensive, I don't mind steak & chips - I just hate paying over the odds
