My son took me to the Narrowboat for my birthday lunch, we had been before in the summer and had enjoyed our meals so decided to return. So glad we did, we were a little early (time was of the essence), but sat and watched the boats and generally chilled out. We were made very welcome and told to go and sit and the owner would bring our drinks, mine was a perfect gin and tonic just the right amount of ice and lemon. The menu is full of local produce, my son had a starter of chicken slices with salad, we both had steak with the most beautiful onion rings and mushrooms, and chips and peas. Followed by sweet of banana split and sticky toffee pudding these were both perfect. Although we were in a bit of a rush we decided to sit a while longer watching a longboat moor up. A lovely meal in very nice surroundings, we will return. This is also a dog friendly place.
