Two close friends got married here and we stayed at the wedding for the evening. I tried to get an early check in as it usually isn't until 3pm. The hotel couldn't confirm this which was a bit of a pain but we turned up early anyway and luckily enough could check in early and get changed in our room. The rooms were nice, just what we needed. Simple with a few nice touches. Filter coffee in the rooms and nice shampoos etc were lovely. A few things could have been improved like the backwards taps, the shower rail being loose and the shower fitting not having a front compartment. The rooms are all set within a maze of corridors in the hotel which make them quite tricky to find but once we had our bearings we managed. All staff that we came across were very polite and friendly and did everything they could to help us. The actual wedding/breakfast/party took place in a lovely room, which had toilets very nearby and outside areas close for guests to smoke. There were added extras such as flip flops/deodorant etc in the toilets which make a huge difference. The canapés and food served were all good and staff again did their best to accommodate needs. We had a separate breakfast room the next morning which was lovely as it gave people the chance to catch up and a good array of hot food and continental options were available with hot and cold drinks. Overall we we're very happy with the hotel and it's amenities and would be happy to visit there again should another friend choose it as a venue!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away form reception as noise travels very far!!

We stayed at the Park House last weekend for a friends 40th birthday party. On arrival it appeared grand and with promise. The receptionist was very helpful but thereafter it was downhill. The cottage room we stayed in was tired, not the cleanest, the plumbing was shocking and the shower terrible. The bed was clean and comfortable though.
We had a look round the gym and spa but it was very, very dated and the equipment rusty. We did not use it.
We met our friends in the bar at 6.30 and attempted to have a Bloody Mary, no tabasco or Worcester sauce made that impossiible though I was offered angostura bitters, No prossecco either.
After the party we had another drink in the bar, there was no room service for a light snack so we had crisps and some wedding cake left over from an earlier function ( the barman tried to assist).
Breakfast was a whole other experience. The 'continental' was laughable with mini croissants from 'lo cost' and baby bel cheeses and the offer of meats if requested!! The coffee was served in the smallest stainless steel teapot you have ever seen ( no cafetiere) The full English breakfast was described as coming with vine tomatoes ( translate to half a tomato). It was farcical truly. The brown or tomato sauce was served in a dish large enough to accommodate the whole room!! I could go on with my critique but it is probably kinder to sum up with the fact that it is most definitely NOT a 4 star experience, not even 2 star and the management or owner need to review the entire hotel. It is ghastly. We recommend you do not stay there unless you would like a laugh. In fact. we read the recent reviews and thought we had stayed somewhere else!!

Dear Guest,

I am sorry to learn that your recent stay with us did not meet with your expectations. It is our aim that guests leave having had a positive experience of both excellent service and food in our AA rosette awarded Butlers Restaurant and of our bedrooms and Leisure facilities. We take all customer feedback very seriously so please be assured your comments have been given due attention.

I do instil into both the reception team and management team to carry out courtesy checks of both the comfort of your bedroom and food and service provided in our restaurant from your arrival through to your departure and nothing adverse within the comments you make were bought to our attention. I am sorry you had issues with the cleanliness in you bedroom and I trust this was reported to reception for rectification.

Despite your disappointments, I do hope you enjoyed your friends 40th Birthday and if I can be of any assistance in the future please do not hesitate to contact us.

We have stayed at the Park House a couple of times using their special offer for Dinner Bed and Breakfast all for £99 a couple. This was our second visit and it will not be last. Dinner was superb, with a great menu and a free glass of wine. The room was clean well appointed, and provided a good nights sleep. Breakfast next morning was another winner, all in all GREAT.

Just returned from an overnight stay at this hotel for a family members 90th birthday and I have to say I cant fault the hotel, staff, food or leisure facilities.

We stayed as a fairly large family group and the staff could not do enough to accommodate us. We had a private dinning room for a 3 course meal in the evening with our own waiting staff. The food was excellent and so was the service, the staff really couldn't do enough for us.

The bedroom was very large even for 2 adults and a small child. Our daughter had her own bed and the main bed was much larger than a standard double. With a dressing room and bathroom the room was a very good size and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

we stayed at this hotel for one night. Ok, so it is not 5 star luxury, but it doesn't claim to be.
The staff were fantastic, the pool and lesiure area was a bit tired but it was hot and clean.
The room was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed.
The meal in the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast. Well done to all the staff.
We stayed as we were going to Ironbridge and the Blist Hill victorian village. the hotel was in a great location for us and it took about 15 minutes to drive to the village.
Well worth the money and highly recommended for the price.
