We decided last minute to visit Ironbridge and the surrounding area. This hotel looked good, the rate was good and convenient for Telford etc. We arrived, up the gravel drive, to a lovely stately home - with some interesting looking 1970's extension/function room and a fantastic looking gym/pool separate modern building. The staff we welcoming, we'd checked in and found our room in a few minutes. The room (a family one) was massive, had a good TV with lots of channels (helpful for the kids) and was decorated in keeping with the house (4 poster bed, wardrobes that reminded me of lions and witches etc). We wandered down to the village for dinner, ambled around the ample gardens and had a lovely day.

After scoffing a great breakfast, my wife and kids spent several hours the next day in the pool - they described that as being lovely/awesome. Ironbridge and it's museums made a great day out. A nice couple were getting married that afternoon, which that didn't take over the hotel; and we got to listen to cheesy disco hits and reminisce.

Spot on weekend. Thank you.

Came as a treat with my partner and we had a really nice time, the hotel is lovely with very high standard rooms. Excellently clean not a single complaint! Breakfast was also enjoyed by us both with a full English and also the choice of cereal and fruit. All the staff are very friendly and we will definitely be returning again in the future

We have just returned from a last minute 2 night break. We were afamily of 4 (kids ages 9 and 5) and stayed in a 4 poster ned room that was huge - lots of space even with both the doubel bed settee made up and an extra single put up bed. There was a wedding whilst we were there, but being in the main hotel we weren't bothered by noise frmo the evening reception but I can imagine if your room was above the function room in the annex it might be a challenge. Breakfast was good quality, and staff so friendly. We went to the pool twice during our weekend, which I was very impressed with. Big, modern, clean and so quiet! The grounds were large and the kids enjoyed exploring. Will definitely be back.

Stayed one night in the extended part of the hotel so not in the older part of the building. Staff v helpful and friendly and moved us to another room when we realised there was a wasp's nest outside the window! Our room was above the function room and there were some noisy guests late afternoon but had gone by about 7pm. Only other noises were other guests slamming their doors early morning/late night. Had bar meal which was huge! Really delicious and filling. Breakfast was good too. Staff also gave fresh milk for morning coffee which was appreciated. Only recommendation would be to have bigger cups in rooms for drinks and perhaps a small fridge? Didn't go into leisure club due to lack of time.

Room Tip: find out if function on that evening as may be noisy if you're in room over party room.

I am just back from spending 2 weeks in this beautiful country hotel. All the staff made me feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you too Mandy, Jen and Gail although all the staff at the hotel were friendly and very professional.
The rooms are immaculate and have all the facilities you could want while away.
The gym and swimming pool are a great added bonus with well equipped exercise machines and friendly receptionist.
whether on business or wanting a break away this is a perfect choice in a lovely location.
