“Daughters Wedding”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

We have celebrated our daughters wedding at The Old Vicarage, it was a wonderful day.
The hotel has sixteen beautiful rooms, they were all booked by guests at the wedding, so the venue was exclusively ours.
From the initial visit, to view The Old Vicarage last year, up until the special day everything has been perfect.
The wedding breakfast was excellent, the orangery looked beautiful, the pig roast on the evening was fab and everyone who stayed the night had lovely rooms and a good breakfast ( plenty of choice) the following morning.
The staff were very efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Dan and Sarah and Alex the DJ.
A very memorable day at a beautiful place. I would not hesitate in recommending The Old Vicarage to anyone planning a wedding or special occasion .

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I am delighted your daughter and new son in law enjoyed the wedding celebrations. Part of enjoying a wedding is enjoying the build up as well so its great to hear the whole process was enjoyable and stress free.

As we only have a limited number of bedrooms its great when a wedding party takes all of them, it means the whole hotel is exclusively yours, its also really nice to all have breakfast together the next morning in the Orangery restaurant.

I have relayed your kind comments to the whole team and look forward to welcoming you back to The Old Vicarage in the not to distant future.

Kind regards

Last night celebrated our twenty-second wedding anniversary at the Old Vicarage, Worfield. I've known this hotel for any years and used it a fair few times for business meetings. It really comes into its own as a relaxing retreat, being comfortable elegant an with a warm welcome from owners of the past fourteen years, David & Sarah. Food is first class and served in their airy and stylish restaurant.

Our room was generously proportioned and very comfortably furnished. No Ikea tat in sight! Good views of the surrounding countryside, with birds and farm animals aplenty.

Value was good too with a Leisure break coming in at £150 for DB&B.

We will be back!

Room Tip: We stayed in the "Coach House" this time which is a modern conversion (though traditional...

We can not thank Dan, Sarah and all the staff at the Old Vicarage Hotel enough for being a large part of making our Wedding day so very special!

Even from our initial meeting with Dan, we had complete confidence in him and his teams abilties. At every meeting we were made to feel very important, nothing was too much trouble and they really listened to every detail that we required.

All the staff worked tirelessly on our day and couldn't do enough for us and our friends to ensure that everyone had a brilliant day.

The Old Vicarage Hotel is a charming venue thats layout really lends itself to weddings. On our wedding day in May we had heavy rain intially but the venue was still perfect and our pictures, which were mostly taken inside were beautiful. True to Dans word (as he promised us he had ordered some sunshine) the sun came out later in the day and the children all had a fabulous time playing in the garden with all the outdoor games we had bought.

Full compliments to the chef whose food was exceptional! The hog roast on the night was an absolute hit with everyone.

Weddings are a big expense for anyone and one of the most special days of your life and with this in mind we couldn't recommend the Old Vicarage highly enough! If we had to sum up The Old Vicarage for Weddings, it would be simple.... "perfection".

I recently stayed here on business for the second time. Cannot fault the place. Comfortable rooms, with nice furniture and great views of the countryside. Staff are warm and friendly. The dinner menu is small but the food is fantastic, and the home made bread is to die for.
Again the breakfast was top drawer, the Eggs Florentine were cooked to perfection. Cannot recommend the place highly enough. Fantastic value for money. I shall be returning with my mrs one day

This is a beautifully quiet hotel at the edge of a small village with wonderful views over the countryside. The owners and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the whole hotel exudes a feeling of comfort and relaxation.
There is a wonderful large homey sitting room and a beautiful dining room where breakfast is also served. They have a somewhat limited dinner menu BUT having had the lamb and my husband,
the sirloin we can safely say the food is amazingly presented and totally delicious. Kudos to the chef!! They do require you to dress smartly for dinner which is actually quite nice as it makes it more of a special occasion!
Breakfast has many choices with only one...the full English...being what you would expect. The poached smoked salmon with scrambled egg is so delicious I ate this every morning during our stay.
This hotel is England at it's finest and is well worth a visit. I can imagine this being a fabulous place for a wedding as it is more like a country home...check it out...you'll not be disappointed

Room Tip: We chose Shipton room because it is in the coach house and is to the side of the main hotel. It is a...

Visited old vicarage for the civil wedding celebration of Mick and Fran. From the moment we arrived it was so lovely. The setting is idyllic, with views of fields from all windows, the inside is very well maintained and tastefully decorated. The meal we had was beef or chicken, I had the beef which was delicious others with me had the chicken which they said was equally tasty. We had lovely starters and tasty sweets. Staff were very attentive and polite and really made the day very special from start to finish. Later during the day we had a disco and pork baps again delicious food. The venue is well laid out so there are several seating areas so somewhere to suit everyone.
We stayed over and the rooms are very comfortable although u need to be active to get to bed, we had two sets of stairs to tackle, quite tricky after a days drinking.
Breakfast was again delicious.
Could not fault the place in any way perfect setting, lovely day and nice staff.

Room Tip: We had one on second floor good size and quiet

I was looking forward to meeting up with friends and was very pleased with the location of this hotel. It is in a quiet setting with lovely views of the countryside.Friendly horses and goats in a nearby field.
I stayed in the Coalport room,it was spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The en-suite had a shower and a large bath with plenty of towels.I enjoyed the food at dinner and breakfast the following morning was beautifully cooked. The staff were welcoming and friendly, happy to take time to talk and answer any questions.
A very enjoyable stay.
