After booking to stay at this hotel through booking.com, the room was advertised as a double. On checking in 30mins early, we were told the room wasn't ready, however they checked us in and asked us to come back later. On our return later that evening, the room we were allocated was for a disabled person. You basically had to do everything like brush your teeth, dry your hair etc on your knees because it was adapted exactly for disabled person to use. We complained to the receptionist/bar person and was told they have no other availability because they had a wedding the following day. We had no choice other than to stay one night and the following morning had to go and find another hotel. If you choose to stay here would strongly advise that you check what you are actually getting before paying as the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Would recommend Premier Inn, Sidcot, you get what they advertise, if you want a disabled room, they will advertise it as such and it's up the individual to book that room.
The rooms at the Fox and Goose are basic, worse nights sleep due to uncomfortable beds, cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Such a shame because the restaurant and food is lovely. Suppose you can't have it all!!!More
