“Ruined by sheep and sheep muck”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

The title speaks for itself really.

We were staying very close by to Burrow Mump and thought we would have a nice walk up to Burrow Mump. The field is literally full of sheep and sheep muck so you have to pick your way up to the top.

“Fine food, fine views and fine accommodation”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

Unfortunately only able to spend one night in our local B&B (highly recommended, Rosewood House) but able to spend time exploring the Burrow Mump. Outstanding views from the top after a nice little 'hike', but worth it. Capped the evening off with a wonderful dinner at the local, The King Alfred - great local atmosphere in a quaint English pub, dogs and all!!! :)

“Got to walk this”

A small hill with a ruined chaple, great lay line energy. Lovely views over the Somerset Levels and beyond, walk the hill (National Trust) and then to the King Alfred for lunch

“FANTASTIC VIEWING POINT OF THE SOMERSET LEVELS”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

Good free car park at the bottom of the Mump, easyish steep trek up to the top. Gives you a great 360 degree view for miles around. Well worth a visit when you pass through Burrowbridge on the A361.

I've played on the Mump rolling down the hill climbing back up climbing the walls of the church watching the views for miles around our favourite spot as kids at weekends school holidays cycle down lock bikes up in car park spend all day on the mound have picnic.

Even took the future husband there as a lasting momento before moving would highly recommend the walk fantastic scenery see for miles have some wonderful memories as a kid watched the floods snow all weathers well worth the visit

very highly recommend miss those days
