“A lovely way to wile away an afternoon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

A lowly little tea room with friendly, helpful staff. Bit on the pricey side though.

Butterfly chasing, snail racing, picnicking and a range of walks for varying abilities.

Took my 4 year old and 7 year old to fyne court for the afternoon, we did the play trail and they had a lovely afternoon, spotting fairies, climbing fallen trees, climbing non fallen trees, building dens, getting dirty and making noise generally being wild, little boys.

The trail itself had seats at various points for little rests, there were a few slopes and steps to navigate so bring babies pouch not pushchair.

There is also an easy access trail swell as a trail for the more seasoned walker.

A play zone with swings and slides would have been nice but boys did have fun without

Visited end July 2014. Children were £2 each for the wild Wednesday attraction

“Nice walking area in a very nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

Apart from the on site cafe which is nice and "airy" Fyne Court is a nice area to walk on a summers day. It is near a little place near Bridgwater called Broomfield(which is also nice). Staff were friendly and nice and would 'fall over backwards@ to help you if you were with someone in in a wheelchair. Although some of the terrain is not suitable for them only for us able bodied people. Would go there again but next time I would take a group of people with me. Lastly Fyne Court is about three miles west of Bridgwater(approx).

“Take time out to visit.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

Out for a drive and found this place by accident. Run by National Trust, they have some terrific walks all clearly marked with guides. We just had lunch here with was very good freshly made sandwiches and some delicious apple and rhubarb drinks. Not a very big cafe, but staff were friendly and polite. Food not a big choice but what we had was fresh and delicious. Not just any old cheap ham either. Will definitely go again. The small info on the house that caught fire was very interesting. It was extremely beautiful in its hey day I should imagine.

“A hidden gem but check before you go”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

We found this in our NT guide and decided to visit the last time we were down in Taunton. It really is a hidden gem with idyllic gardens and beautiful grounds to walk in. We didn't check online before we went though and so were disappointed (and slightly flustered) to find that the courtyard including the cafe, shop and toilets was shut due to staff shortages. As it happened we hadn't taken a picnic or planned to spend the whole afternoon there but I'm sure there were visitors who did have to change their plans. Definitely worth a visit but also worth checking before you go if it is all open.
