“Second year running. Fantastic!”
Reviewed 19 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Boomer farm is superbly placed in the most peaceful, glorious countryside. At the end of the drive to the Coach House is a wood where you can take long peaceful family walks. The village of North Petherton is no more than a 20minute walk down the quiet country lane where a Mcolls, pharmacy and Tesco Express can be found to refill provisions.

The accommodation in the Coach House is outstanding, traditional, clean and comfortable. Bedrooms are well equipped and spacious. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you could have think of so no need to bring the kitchen sink because the Coach House has it covered.
There is a washing machine so don't bring lots of clothes as the weather here is superb and they can be washed and dried on your washing line outside.

For teenagers there is wifi for those who wish to explore there is an abundance of ideas within the cottage.

Gail and Tony, the owners are welcoming (hard working) and friendly as are their pets. They have the most loving family dog, Bear.

This is the second time in 12 months we have stayed here and now would think of going nowhere else.

See you soon

“A wonderful break in the perfect place.”
Reviewed 22 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Boomer farm is set in the most glorious countryside, a working farm, with friendly horses, chickens, cats and dogs. Miss you Bear & Puppy. The accommodation in the Coach House was superb, clean, comfortable and very pretty. The owners are charming, welcoming and friendly without being at all intrusive. Must admit the reason we chose this place was primarily because we could take our dog but boy am I glad we did.

“Bank holiday weekend family stay”
Reviewed 31 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

What a lovely cottage on a working farm, very comfortable and quiet, has a great country style kitchen which is very well equipped, superbly renovated throughout with oak staircase and beams. The kids loved the farm and the very friendly dogs!, hens and horses made this a great place for them to explore. The fresh eggs and bread provided was a nice touch and made an already lovely welcome even more welcoming! There is a country walk nearby, we will probably do this next time we visit, we nearly didn't write a review as we wanted to keep this little gem of a place to ourselves!

Had a lovely week at the Coach House with hubby daughter and our dog Rosie. Well equipped cottage, bread, eggs and bacon supplied for our first breakfast.
Very nice owners and their two dogs!
Good location for exploring the Quantocks and West Somerset, also good walks on the doorstep.

“Excellent, unique cottage style property on a working farm.”
Reviewed 30 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

Superb cottage on a working farm, very comfortable and quiet, very well equipped country style kitchen, outstandingly renovated throughout with oak staircase and beautiful doors which complement original beams. There is nothing flimsy or light weight about anything in this property, furniture is in keeping and very comfortable. Excellent outlook and aspect onto the farm and beautiful country, two very friendly dogs, hens and horses made this a really interesting location for our short break. Would highly recommend this property, the eggs provided were exceptionally good. Take some wellies, if it rains you will definitely need them.

Liked best: Overall character & quality of the property in beautiful rural setting
Liked least: Needs a location map, the written location instructions do not really provide sufficient directions particularly if it is dark and sat nav & Google maps will get you close but not into the property unless you have researched prior to visit.

We stayed for a long weekend with our three young children. The host was wonderful and we had a lovely welcome package including milk, bread, eggs and sausages. The cottage was wonderful and spacious and very nicely decorated. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout. A great location for surrounding areas. The kids loved being on a farm and had a great time visiting the horses and chickens. Would highly recommend!

With two young animal-loving children the coach house was a perfect few days away being on a working farm with friendly dogs, cats, horses, chickens, sheep and tractors. Gail, Katy and the family were so welcoming and made the place like home-from-home with a stocked fridge (locally sourced eggs, sausages and even a bottle of wine!) on arrival. The barn accommodation itself is recently renovated with modern facilities but retaining its cosy character. Well located in the tranquil Quantock Hills but with easy access to the M5 and both Somerset and Devon/Dorset coasts and attractions. Hope to back again one day soon!
