The cottage is very nice, when we arrived it was clean and the owners were helpful and very friendly with reccomending things to do and places to eat. Most shops and restaurants are about a 20-30 minute walk away however that did not stop us ,Clevedon is a very peaceful place to stay and the little shops and restaurants are Worth visiting. The kitchen had everything you needed if you wanted to cook your own meal, but we tried out Pizza Magic takeaway the night we stayed and that was very good value for money and very tasty.
I highly recommend Hawkers cottage and will definitely be staying again if given then chance :)
I am so pleased to have found Hawkers cottage , it is the perfect place to stay when visiting family , I will certainly be returning again and again.
The owners are friendly and on hand should you need any assistance.
I highly recommend Hawkers cottage , it is a great base to explore this lovely part of Somerset
hosts very friendly and helpful, had our own private entrance, the rooms are very spacious, very comfortable bed, very light and airy, lovely views from the terrace,
the apartment was very clean, very central location, lots of places near by, would highly recommend.
We live in Clevedon and needed somewhere local to stay whilst renervations were being done on our house. Hawkers cottage was ideal, a very generous sized double bedroom and separate bathroom on the ground floor and a spacious living area on the 1st floor, with the added bonus of patio doors leading out onto a decked area. Kevin was very accommodating to my additional requests, including allowing my dog to stay and my son to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. The only downside is the proximity to the motorway, however the double glazing limited the traffic noise, and it was hardly noticeable. Would definately recommend to anyone looking for a self catering place to stay in Clevedon.
This is a clean and modern extension to the original Hawkers Cottage. It has great countryside views from the upper floor, where a large single room is well equipped for relaxation, cooking and dining. Downstairs has a big comfortable bedroom. It was quieter than I expected, even though I slept with the window open. The nearby motorway and busy through road are screened off by hedges and large trees, so traffic noise is not too intrusive.
Although the town centre is within walking distance, I felt as if I was out in the countryside. Clevedon Court and its estate are just metres away and it is well worth a visit to the house, which belongs to the National Trust and is open 3 afternoons each week.
Good location in the lovely town of Clevedon. Great for exploring North Somerset. Accommodation excellent, and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Kevin and Lorna.
