My son and i were in Exmoor for an adventure race over the weekend mountain biking, running and kayaking.
The weather looked to be a bit gloomy so we decided not to camp as originally planned.
This was the best decision ever.
Witheridge farm was a beautiful place to stay made even more inviting by the great hosts Jackie and Richard.
With mucky moutain bikes and muddy clothes our hosts dealt with everything.
The bikes could be stored safely and in the dry overnight and with a great drying room all our clothes were nice and warm ready for the next days adventure.
Jackie even cleaned and dried our trainers for us!
When we arrived each day we were greated with tea and homemade cakes and the early morning breakfast was fabulous. All with local produce.
Jackie could even help us out with her extensive knowledge of the local area.
I certainly look forward to returning in the summer with my other half for more exploration of this wonderful National Park.
Absolutely gorgeous rooms! A really tranquil setting and very welcoming hosts. The separate guest sitting room is extremely comfortable and the bedrooms 5*. Billy and Mickey the ponies graze in the orchard - so charming, and the garden is looking stunning covered in bluebells and Forget Me Nots.
