“Super friendly B&B.”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

Found this superb bed and breakfast through friends recommendation. Wow what a find, when we arrived for a 2 night stay we were welcomed by Sally, Mervyn and Widget the Jack Russell. Straight away we were treated to a cup of tea and a large slice of homemade cake, which was delicious.

The whole bedroom and private lounge area was totally spotless and clean. The bed was so comfy you wont want to get out of it. The bathroom was also ultra clean, and the shower was really powerful. Again once your get in the shower you never want to get out.

We were given a key to let ourselves in and out as we pleased, with no restrictions on times to getting back at night. We were even giving a lift to the party we were attending. As it was raining so hard that Sally and Mervyn offered to drive us there. Which was gratefully accepted.

The full English breakfast we had was also very nice, with a choice of yoghurts, orange juice, cereal and fresh coffee. Again we could not fault the quality of the food and first class service.

Don't waste your money on a premier inn, when there are quality B&Bs out there. Just like Croftlands, the extra service and friendliness that Sally and Mervyn extended us was second to none. A real joy and pleasure to be there. We would like to say thank you so much Sally and Mervyn. We hope to stay with you again very soon.

Found this little gem for a friends wedding. Arrived to a very friendly welcome from Sally and her husband. The room was spotlessly clean, with a seriously comfy bed and a quality power shower. Breakfast the next day was superb and for the price .... truely excellent. Don't bother with the Premier Inn, stay here. You can watch the sheep while you eat your breakfast. Awesome.

Planned a trip to Longleat and seached the internet for somewhere close by to stay. We very nearly booked the local Premier Inn, but reading trip adviser (location put me off) sent me searching again and we found a gem. Sally and Mervin the proprieters along with their two Jack Russels gave us a lovely warm welcome. The room was ideal extemely clean and comfortable with en-suit facilities. There was a seperate small lounge/dinning area with facilities to prepare drinks and with lovely views out onto the surrounding countryside. Breakfast choice was fantastic and beautifully cooked by Sally. We asked for a recommendation of where to eat in the evening, and they advised their local pub "The Horse and Groom" known locally as the "Jockey" we ate there on both evenings and the food was well worth the wait, the pub is small and very traditional and with a very extensive menu, the food was fresh, piping hot and the servings large I had to decline dessert which was a real shame, on a return visit I shall request dessert only!
