I stayed here for a friends wedding at Orchardleigh a couple of years ago, didn't know about Trip Advisor then so couldn't comment but now I know it exists I just had to air my views.

I arrived and could find no-one at the B&B, even around the grounds and equestrian centre was deserted, it took me about 20mins to find someone, the weather was very hot and after a long drive the last thing you want is to be searching for someone to let you in, all I wanted was a cool shower (I will get to that shortly)!

I had the Lavender Room, the room wasn't made up at all, the owner knew guests were arriving but had made no move to make sure it was ready, I had to loiter outside waiting while the owner grabbed some linen to make the bed. The time was passing & I had a wedding to get too!

Now for that shower, the description says bath & shower, wrong....... Just a bath, at the time no towels were provided, only when entering back into the bedroom towels were on the bed, no good AFTER using the bathroom, as previously mentioned the bedroom wasn't made up & that included no towels!

The owner offered to take me upto Orchardleigh by car, this May have been to soften the blow of not being at the cottage when I arrived, I don't know! Made the wedding on time and all was good.

Breakfast was good with a full English on offer.

£55.00 for a room (with no TV and en- suite)! Bit overpriced & I wouldn't stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Brookover, very convenient for visiting friends in the area and easy to find by the golf course! Really stunning views out of the bedroom window, with a modern power shower in the recently refurbished ensuite. We enjoyed the locally-sourced breakfast with the BEST sausages I've ever had! Clean and well-appointed room with very firm mattress. Close to Babington house & Frome, and we had a fabulous dinner at the Talbot in nearby Mels.

Very homely place, large rooms and comfy beds. Good breakfast in a lovely dining room plus its really good value. Would recommend staying here rather than a big soul-less chain. Stay in the family room - its got a great bathroom!

Disclaimer: My ancestors' used to live in this place and coming here to stay was a personal life highlight but...

Having admitted that - it really IS exceptional - both in value and quality.

The rooms are simply outstanding and scrupulously clean and fresh. The breakfast is exceptional. Heather can not do enough for guests and I unashamedly and unhesitatingly recommend it to everyone.

A very good B&B for the money and in an excellent location both for a wedding we went to at orchardleigh house (its close to the entrance of the orchardleigh grounds), and also its proximity to Bath and surrounding villages. It is located on a working farm so it was very quiet apart from animals which was heaven for a city dweller like myself. We went on a walk around the grounds and there is a beautiful stream and river to follow around the farm.

Rooms were clean and decorated nicely. Shower in the en suite was very powerful. Breakfast was of a high quality.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly.

I would definitely recommend and would love to come back.

I stumbled across this place whilst trying to look for some where to stay for a friends wedding.
Although not very easy to find on the internet and location Brookover Farm was perfect. We had a wedding to go to at Orchardleigh house so would really recommened to anyone look to stay the night.

The bedroom was beautiful, huge double bed, fantastically decorated bathroom, everything you could possible need. Breakfast in the morning was great, full english with coffee and juice.
