We've stayed in hundreds of B&Bs around the world, and this is one of the best and most memorable. Located in an idyllic country setting, the listed historic barn has been refurbished to the highest standards, replete with tiled bath, kitchenette, marvelous comfortable bed, and wonderful free-standing seclusion. Because the nearby restaurant was closed on Mondays, Jackie and Roger drove us to the nearest pub for a wonderful dinner. If you're looking for a great base to explore this region of England, you could not find better accommodations.

The Cyder Barn is by far the best B&B I've ever stayed in. The barn was lovely and comfortable with a very charming, homely touch. The effort Jackie and Roger have put in really shows and their hospitality was wonderful! The barn is a detached building and you have your own key, therefore there isn't a specific time you have to be back, which is good if you wish to stay out later. The surrounding area is utterly beautiful. A lovely, peaceful walk was recommended to us ,by Jackie and Roger, along the babbling brook. The cooked breakfast was delicious and I'm unable to fault Jackie's cooking. Overall, a brilliant stay and to put it in one word... perfect! I would defiantly recommend they Cyder Barn and would love to return to it one day. If you book, which you would be a fool not to, I'm sure you will have just as pleasant stay as I did.

Room Tip: The Barn is brilliant but the rooms in the house are just as charming!

Having now stayed at the Cyder Barn for a third time it seems long overdue to say how brilliant the Barn is. Always a very warm welcome from Jackie and Roger (both full of useful tips on things to do nearby), an immaculate and very private Barn room with all the character of the building itself, lots of useful extras, home comforts and space, not to mention a beautiful back garden and patio area.
The amazing food at The Grange Restaurant opposite is topped only by Jackie's perfect Full English breakfast at the barn!
Excellent all round and looking forward to another visit ourselves very soon.

I have been meaning to write a review, and apologise for the delay. My partner and I stayed at the Cyder Barn in the main house in September 2011. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts, friendly and extremely helpful. They even kindly drove us to a nearby venue where we were attending a wedding. Excellent breakfast and comfortable, homely accommodation. Highly recommend.
