Current owners been at the pub for about a year and have cleaned it up a bit. Food basic but tasty. There are separate menus for lunch and dinner which I found disappointing having arrived in the evening and had fancied something on the lunchtime menu. Pats on the back for the range of reasonably priced beers, the outdoor area and a camping field at the rear. They often have special events so its worth checking them out. Note to Landlord: Landlady was very customer friendly which is enough to bring me back.

Saw this place on the way back from Longleat, So we tried it out later that evening. Very good service, Excellent lamb shank, good beer. Had been in a pub the previous night in the next village & found it to be very clicky (obviously not use to passing trade) But The Bell Inn was just right. Well done

A group of us had lunch here after a walk and were very glad that we had chosen this pub. We were given a very warm welcome and all had the two-course lunch for £9.95 which was excellent value. The pub was busy, had a great atmosphere and I would certainly recommend it to Trip Advisor followers. Visit the Bell - you will not be disappointed.

Unprofessional staff, poor service , bland tasteless food that just about sums up our visit !! To start we ordered a couple of drinks lager shandy and a white wine spritzer both of which the staff did not know how to make which to be honest is pretty standard when you work behind a bar to know! Next we ordered the fish cakes to start if you could call it that !! It was mash potato with 2 prawns hardly a fish cake! We ate it because we were starving and gave it the benefit of the doubt hoping we may have just chosen a bad starter ! Next our mains came out belly pork which had no taste and pure uncooked fat if it is cooked the right way it would have not been like this ! Waitress came over and we said politely that we did not enjoy the couple of mouthfuls we had and that it did not taste great for the young girl to just walk away without saying a thing then proceeded to talk about us to the manager/owner right in front of us not very professional ! I work In the business myself and to be honest have never seen such bad service and would not expect it! We were offered comp desserts which frankly we hadn't eaten the rest of the food so this was not exactly acceptable ! The waitress came over with the bill full price which we reluctantly paid knowing the law now we would not have done this! Any well established restaurant would have offered something as a good will gesture but not here after going back to our hotel in town the manager there asked how our night had been we explained and as a gesture bought us 2 glasses of comp champagne which she did not have to at all because she did not want that experience to ruin our evening now that is great customer service !
