To be fair we live just outside Frome and it's our main town so of course we love it...but so does everyone we take there, either to the brilliant Independent Market on the first Sunday of every month March to December or to see the fascinating collection of independent shops, retro clothing, fashionable junk, a great retro hardware store and the wonderful Top of The Hill, a shop no one can visit and leave empty handed, plus cafes, organic food. Catherine Hill is magical and when you go there you'll see why Frome is now the place to be.

Fantastic, independant shops on a beautiful hill. Wandered through in the evening by chance and changed our plans in the morning in order to go back when the shops were open - so glad we did!

Bit of a climb but excellent shops, meander around and find something different, parking not a problem if you go early but well worth a look

Really unique walk, with plenty of unusual shops and lovely cafes! One particularly lovely one is the garden cafe, which you can eat indoors or out (british weather permitting) with the most gorgeous garden wrap and wonderful chocolate cake! If you make it to the top of the hill, there is a street lamp that is bent into a heart shape, and a little plaque nearby, giving a brief history. It has recently been renovated too, hopefully that hasn't spoilt it! (:

Always the perfect place to find something unique, meet people and feel that you are supporting a community rather than a swiss bank account somewhere. Great shops and great people.
