This upmarket and expensive B&B is in a quiet location just outside Frome, with some, if not all, bedrooms in a converted stable block. The furnishings are rather ornate, and we felt the welcome was rather overpowering. There was a good help-yourself breakfast, apart from cooked items. The bedroom had the biggest en-suite shower and toilet room we've ever seen, but the bedroom part was cramped with a four-poster bed, and the floor was sloping, but with a slightly-raised platform for the bed, and we tripped over the edge of the platform more than once. And the bedroom had no direct ventilation - only to the bathroom.
We slept well, but overall we did not care for this place. However, others seem to revel in its unusal approach. It's a matter of personal preference.More
