We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Longleat with our two children (5 and 2 years old). Great location for the Safari Park - about 15 mins drive. Room was very comfortable and a good size and easily accommodated an extra single bed and a cot for the children. We made use of the on site restaurant for two evening meals and two breakfasts (see separate review). Breakfasts were very hectic and not managed too well, but a quick chat with reception saw a refund being offered without having to ask. Would definitely use Premier Inn again.

It's the second time we have stayed at a Premier Inn and they are always rear value and warm in winter. The problem is this one is way out of Frome on an industrial estate and when you've got a young child with you you don't really want to get in the car and drive miles to get something to eat on a cold and raining night....so as a captive audience so to speak you use their eating experience which is firmly attached to the Hotel. NOT a good idea. We booked for 6.15pm and arrived and ordered immediately. ONE HOUR LATER STILL NO FOOD ON THE TABLE! Mind you, your drinks will turn up almost immediately!!! We complained, along with 90 percent of the other customers, some getting drunk with the immediate drinks! Eventually, one hour and twenty minutes from our ordering time the starters and main courses all turned up together, and most of it cold. Our grand daughter was now almost too tired and bored to eat, and my wife, two large glasses of wine later too drunk to care! The staff can only apologise, nothing more, but as friendly as possible. Considering NONE of this food is cooked from scratch on the premises this sort of service is unacceptable! I bet Lenny Henry gets the very best of service!!! Take my advice - never eat in a restaurant attached to any of the hotels, this has happened to me twice too often!!!

This was a one night stop over as I had to be at a course early the next day so I needed a good nights sleep. I arrived around 9:30pm and was seamlessly checked in and given details for dinner, breakfast and wifi.
The restaurant was great and breakfast very well organised and served quickly and efficiently.
This is a newish hotel so everything is very clean and in full working order, the rooms have everything you need, clean fresh towels, soap and shampoo, lovely clean linen, flat screen tv and tea and coffee making facilities on and hair dryer.
They are clean spacious and airy.
Would definitely recommend.

Very helpful staff, very clean and good food in the adjoining Table Table Restaurant. Would advise you book a table for evening meal as it gets busy, especially at weekends due to proximity to Longleat.Ample parking and a good nights sleep. We found it ideal as a touring base for Bath and the west country. We thought the sms text to book a table for evening meal on our first night was very helpful.

...until we hit breakfast and that was a fiasco.

Booked this online and received a nice text confirmation the day before - that was very reassuring.

On arrival, the reception staff were very polite and helpful - could not fault them.

The bedrooms were in immaculate condition, spacious, light and everything seemed to work OK.

However, as we left the room we realised the cistern had stuck and so reported this to reception; it was fixed by the time we returned.

We went to bed about 1am and the rooms were very quiet away form any noise and we had a great nights sleep.

Then came breakfast on Sunday 13 october ... oh dear. The waiting staff were excallent and very helpful. But the serving section for the cooked breakfast was truly awful. rarely was there a complete set of breakfast options available.

My pregnant daughter stood waiting for eggs for ten minutes - to be greeted by fried eggs (which pregnant ladies are advised not to eat!!) to be told the scrambled would be another ten minutes or so. She handed her plate back in utter disgust and went without. The pleasure of paying £8.25 for 'all you can eat' was mine!!

When I got my brekkie there were no fried eggs; when my son in law got his there were no hash browns; there were six in my party and I could go on. The essence is that when you buy breakfast in advance and they don't serve it, you sort of feel cheated - is this their crafty way of cutting their cost? I'd like to think not, but the overall lack of information as to why it was so bad doesn't fill one with confidence.

Some might say I'm unduly harsh giving a poor rating for this one bad experience but I paid for a bed and for breakfast. 50% of what I wanted was not what was promised. It really is as simple as that.
