Fabulous pies (homemade on the premises), great chips, good prices and attentive service.... five very happy adults. Thank you.

Firstly I'd say the setting is idealic and all the staff friendly and approachable and happy to engage you. The only slight negative was the food whilst reasonably priced, cooked and tasted ok it was not up to the standard of great country pub food. I have been here before not for a few years and the food used to be out of this world. Hope this was just a blip.
Staying just up the road, we were pointed in The White Harts direction for some hearty pub grub. We weren't disappointed. The place was cosy and the staff were friendly. A lovely homemade pie washed down with a great pint of local cider = a good feed!
We visited for an evening meal whilst holidaying just up the road and can honestly say it was a total pleasure to eat/drink at The White Hart. The service was exceptional and the friendly staff made our evening, the food was all prepared and cooked to a high standard and washed down with local cider so what more could you ask for.
I would highly recommend a visit and the whole family agreed with my view!
We visited to celebrate my mothers 80th and chose The White Hart based on TripAdvisor reviews. Was not disappointed. Easy to find. Very friendly helpful staff and an excellent menu. Two of the party had the steak & guiness pies, two had lasagne, one had cod and one the thai salmon sizzler. Everyone had nothing but high praise for the food. Good selection of ales but as I was driving only had the one pint of the excellent addlestones cider. Might be a good idea to draw straws to find the designated driver although they do 2pint takeway cartons. Would go back without hesitation.
