“Great for exploring!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

We loved the beach as it was so quite. Our five year old daughter loved exploring the fossils and collecting stones.

“Fossil hunters' paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2014

Go with good footwear (the rocks are uneven and can be slippery) and spend a happy hour or two searching for fossils. There are big ones to photograph, and smaller ones to take home. You need to pay to park in the summer. Go and visit St Mary's church up from the beach.

“Find a sheltered spot & enjoy the fresh air.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2013

A 5 minute stroll from the car park takes you to the rocky beach where a small stream runs across the pebbles. The beach itself is mainly shelved rock ledges with small sandy patches & loads of (some quite large) rock pools. Walk up the cliff path on either side of the beach to find a few benches & sheltered spots away from the almost continuous breeze where you can picnic and watch the world go by. Lots of dog walkers here, many dogs allowed to run free, so not the place if you are nervous of dogs and no escape from the car park fee unless you fancy a longer walk. Very picturesque and well signposted 20 min stroll from the car park at East Quantoxhead.

“Boxing Day Walk”

Lovely walk along country lane to the beach at Kilve. It was a cold, but sunny day, and the view once you get to the beach is lovely.

“A very rocky beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013 via mobile

Lots of rocks and water which appealed to our 3 year old. We didn't find any fossils but a lovely gentleman donated to us some he had found.
Take wellies and spare clothes if you have children.
