Thanks Chris and Clare for a fab mini break.

We walked the south west coastal path from Minehead to Woolacombe over Easter and stayed for 2 nights at the beginning and spent our last night in Porlock before heading home.

Lovely couple who made us feel very welcome. Perfectly situated, The Cottage provided a relaxing retreat in a lovely village with all amenities. Spotless and cosy. We had the room with the bath - the toiletries were a nice touch. Extremely comfortable bed and clean fluffy white towels. Guest lounge was lovely but we didn't need it as the room was so spacious with a settee and table. Good Wi-fi connection.

Food delicious. Amazing scrambled eggs and great choice.

Ideal for walkers and close to south west coastal path. Compared to other B&B's during our stay, this was by far the best and if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

Thanks again.

Just returned from our second stay at The Cottage. We love Porlock and this B&B - right on the High Street but amazingly quiet and peaceful. Fantastic power shower and fluffy white towels! Attention to detail excellent with great toiletries and a lovely selection of teas, coffees and biscuits - even hot chocolate! Impressive variety for breakfast too and a fantastic full English! Extremely friendly and helpful hosts - thanks Chris and Clare for another enjoyable stay.

I recently stayed two days with my fiancé. Chris and Claire were excellent hosts. Lots of information about local walks. Spotless rooms. Delicious breakfast. Central location opposite one of the local watering holes. A lovely stay and would return.

My friend and I just had one day at the Cottage but what an experience. Clare and Chris were wonderful hosts, the rooms were spacious and warm, the toiletries and beverages/biccies are posh hotel quality, the bedlinen and towels were super soft and after a day's gossiping, travelling and shopping we slept like logs in the comfortable beds. Excellent value, a real find, highly recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms looked great - we were given a choice which was a really nice touch - but Room 5 with...

We stayed here a while ago with our babies and we were made very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. A home from home!

I'd especially recommend it for those with a child, The Cottage have a travel cot which is very handy!

We went with a group of friends for 2 nights and the Cottage is the best that we have found in the area.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious (they certainly put some expensive hotels to shame!).
The guest lounge was a bonus for us to all sit down & chat over the cup of tea that was supplied by the owners as each couple arrived.
The breakfast was excellent: High quality local produce, beautifully cooked and available at an earlier time than usual so that the boys could get out and play on the West Somerset Railway.
We will return in 2014.
