Just returned home from our first 2014 visit to Myrtle Cottage . Many thanks to Janet and Nigel, for the friendly welcome we always receive and for looking after us so well. Made a rather damp and foggy three days very enjoyable .Breakfast time is such a treat. Love the fruit salad, Full English is extra special. Looking forward to our next visit in July.

Spent another few days in Myrtle Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Nigel and Janet welcome you into their home and are the most friendly hosts you will ever wish to meet. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfasts are terrific and for my fellow travelers I would def' suggest you have Janet's poached eggs on toast. Looking forward to returning later in the year.

Just returned from two nights at Myrtle Cottage and couldn't wait to write a rave review! Janet and Nigel have got it just right, they are helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The breakfasts are smashing and grease-free, the soft jazz playing was a lovely touch. The house is gorgeous but relaxed enough to welcome our dog as well. Have stayed in a wide variety of B and Bs and really think Myrtle Cottage is the best ever....

Stayed at Myrtle Cottage for two nights at the beginning of March, a very warm welcome from the hosts. Made our two dogs very welcome. Would not hesitate to stay there again and will certainly recommend.

...There should be more stars to represent how nice this cottage & Nigel and Janet are!
These guys are exceptional hosts; a warm welcome, a good quality local breakfast & super comfy bed all in a cosy cottage packed with oodles of character. Will be coming back soon.

From the moment the front door opened into Myrtle Cottage, we knew that this was going to be a perfect place to stay.

Janet and Nigel are wonderful hosts, and they could not have been more welcoming and accommodating to us and our small dog at very short notice on a very wet January night.

Our room was lovely and warm. Fresh milk for a cup of tea. A welcome pack for our dog. Off street parking.

Breakfast was first class.

We would have stayed longer if we could. Thanks again and we all hope to see you again soon.
