We pulled up at this site on the off they had room for our camper, all the electric hook ups had gone but there was room on the bottom field which is open 28 weeks of the year, cost was £18 for the two of us and our dog, the field was beautifully cut, had porta loo's on and we had the use of the shower block at the top of the site, there is a lovely dog run keeping the field nice a clean for everyone, a little garden at the top, & views of the sea. Staff were really friendly and just a walk away from the village which has a decent range of shops pubs and eateries for a small place, we brought some lovely steak from the butchers too! Shower block was spotless and good showers! Would recommend this place with no hesitation.

This site has recently been sold and now has new owners. It was affiliated to Camping and Caravan club, but no more. The site is ideally situated and has good access to walks and local amenities, including good pubs and restaurants. The site is also well kept and clean. On the downside the site has a lot of rules and the people managing the site are very inflexible. For example we had booked two pitches , but required three cars to park. Dispite the site being very quiet we were not allowed to have a third car on site (and yes we did offer to pay) We were told to park the extra car in a nearby public car park at £5 a day. Also be advised that if you are a new arrival that's running late you will not be allowed access to the site after 7pm! A sign says no new arrival admission after 7pm , No ifs no buts. So yes it a good site, but please be warned the people running the site can easily be upset. There are a lot of rules and should you inadvertently break a rule you will be told off, or maybe even be made to spend a night on the naughty step, aka the public car park.

We had been to this site a few times about 15 - 20 years ago and loved it. This time it was very much the same - scrupulously clean, friendly staff and well located for just about everything we could need. The few times we came as tent campers, this time we stayed in one of the static caravans. Can't praise the place highly enough!

Room Tip: This is not a hotel, it's a camp site. All views are of the rest of the site.

My husband and I really enjoyed our weekend, lovely welcome and nice facilities. We have dogs who enjoyed the special dog walking area onsite and found locally everywhere we went dog friendly. Some lovely walks to the weir straight from the site. Really impressed and will be back.

This is without doubt the nicest and friendliest caravan park I have stayed at. The Park is not very big but it has everything you could possibly need and is kept in immaculate condition. There are plenty of rubbish bin stations and water facilities etc dotted all around the site so no need to traipse around looking for them.

The toilets and shower blocks are all kept very clean and are all in very good condition. We did not use the Laundry or wash up facilities but I would expect to find these to the same high standard. The owners and staff are always around and obviously take real pride in their Park.

The location is just perfect, if you take a left out of the main Park entrance and walk through the carpark and within about 5 minutes you come out by the library in Porlock where you will find plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. If you walk through Porlock and take the road that runs behind The Royal Oak pub there is a lovely flat coastal walk down to Porlock Weir where you will find further places to get a well-deserved drink and bite to eat.

Having two dogs, one of which likes to 'explore alone' (for hours!) if let off the lead, we were absolutely delighted to find that the Park has a secure dog exercise area. This area is part of a field that has been fenced off just for dogs. It’s not huge but it is just perfect for a quick run around between walks. Being able to let our little explorer off the lead without the worry of having to spend the next 5 hours tracking her down made the holiday for us and shows how much thought the owners have put into the Park.

One thing to bear in mind is that if you plan to use your car to go out and about during your stay you will need to pay a £10 deposit when you check in for a card that opens the barrier. You get the money back and it makes the camp site really secure but in today’s days where many people don’t carry cash its worth making sure you have a tenner in your pocket (although I am sure this is something you could sort out later if you didn't have any cash on you, I’m not sure if they would take the deposit on a card or not?). I think this is a great system as it restricts who can drive into the site which can only be a good thing when it comes to security.

There were very few children on site during our stay over Easter and the ones that were there were very polite and well behaved. We do not have children so were very pleased to find the Park not rammed with little folk running wild!!

This is a very tranquil and respectful site and we really can not praise enough this Park and the Owners/Staff for making it what it is. We have no hesitation recommending Porlock Caravan and Camping Park and can not wait to return hopefully in the Summer
