I was taken by surprise as I walked into the Culbone because I was expecting to walk into the typical Exmoor pub, roaring fire with hunting portratits... but what did I find ? a revamped , stramlined modern restaurant with huge animal paintings. If the decoration was surprising so was the food. There was interesting choice, large portions , all cooked to order. The scallops were delicous also the pearl barley risotto. I will certainly return on my next visit to Exmoor.
