“Charming village cottage”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Marley cottage is well finished to a high standard and was immaculately clean. The room sizes are reasonable with a large bathroom and master bedroom. However, the kitchen is slightly on the small side.

On the website it says there is only parking for a small car but we managed a family sized saloon with some manoeuvering.

The village is very pretty with lots of nice restaurants and great walks near by, would reccomend porlock to walkers.

“Marley Cottage has it all.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Firstly, it’s location. Porlock is a beautiful, quiet village on the coast of Somerset. Secondly, the renovation. Upstairs, the sunny bedrooms are beautifully renovated and appointed with large beds. Downstairs, the kitchen, living and dining areas are equally well appointed. Plenty of natural timbers – which have retained the rustic character of the original cottage. Finally, the setting. Although Marley Cottage is only a two minute walk from the main street with it’s small but wonderful selection of shops, Inns and eateries, you really only hear the church bell chiming (quietly) on the hour. Highly Recommended.

“A wonderful West Country experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Marley cottage provided our family and some friends with a well equipped living space and had the benefit of being in a quite but yet central location in the village of Porlock.Local produce such as eggs and logs were purchased from villagers houses and money left in honesty boxes - a real harp back to traditional living.Local walks were beautiful, finding the stag and doe every evening up on the ridge towards Hawkcombe was such a treat for our children. The cottage beds were so comfortable after our long daily walks and excursions.
A great day out was spent in tiny Bossington,a walk on the beach,a visit to the Hawk Centre and a great cream tea in Kitnors Tea House is highly recommended.
