“Magic in the heart of Porlock”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We found the fantastic cottage to be just the ticket. Easy access to Porlock, lovely facilities with enough room for us all. Log burner great for taking the chill of a Dunkery blow about. All aspects of the stay great, comfortable and what we wanted in what is a very special village.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property

Liked best: Being in Porlock with a log burner.
Liked least: The parking! tight for a Zafira.

“Lovely, comfy cottage in a great location for walks and pub lunches”
Reviewed 4 February 2015 for a stay in November 2014

We had such a relaxing stay at marley cottage. In a great location to make the most of all the area had to offer. Amazing walks and countryside combined with a perfect little village all on your doorstep. We also enjoyed a few evenings snuggled up in front of the fire. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, everything very new, and very welcoming. Will come back !

“A slice of heaven”
Reviewed 3 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

My husband, 6 month old daughter and I stayed in Marley Cottage. The weather was cold but dry and the cottage a perfect haven. The location is lovely - a step away from the village, lots of walks and short driving distance to several national trust properties and exmoor villages. Marley Cottage was warm and cosy (the fire made it during a cold Jan) yet spacious enough to spread out with all our baby gear and board games. On arrival tea, coffee and biscuits were set out for us ... That set the tone for me! It was a perfect week away escaping the hustle and bustle. I would absolutely recommend this lovely property :)

“Charming village cottage”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Marley cottage is well finished to a high standard and was immaculately clean. The room sizes are reasonable with a large bathroom and master bedroom. However, the kitchen is slightly on the small side.

On the website it says there is only parking for a small car but we managed a family sized saloon with some manoeuvering.

The village is very pretty with lots of nice restaurants and great walks near by, would reccomend porlock to walkers.

“Marley Cottage has it all.”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Firstly, it’s location. Porlock is a beautiful, quiet village on the coast of Somerset. Secondly, the renovation. Upstairs, the sunny bedrooms are beautifully renovated and appointed with large beds. Downstairs, the kitchen, living and dining areas are equally well appointed. Plenty of natural timbers – which have retained the rustic character of the original cottage. Finally, the setting. Although Marley Cottage is only a two minute walk from the main street with it’s small but wonderful selection of shops, Inns and eateries, you really only hear the church bell chiming (quietly) on the hour. Highly Recommended.
