“A great stay”
Reviewed 1 November 2011

I stayed at the wonderful Lynch Country House for one night on October 27th 2011 and it was a lovely experience. The place has atmosphere and quality, and the staff and proprietor were friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms were excellent and the standard of decor of the highest quality. The most important thing for me is the mattress for a good night's sleep, and no expense has been spared in ensuring that comfort is provided by one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on. The breakfast was very good too and based in a breakfast room with some style. All in all a good value for money place set in a beautiful town amongst some of the best English countryside you can find.

Wish we could have stayed longer than one night in this lovely country house. Everything is perfect - yes it is.
Warm friendly welcome, pretty bedroom with lovely bed and bedding, bathroom had thick soft towels and robes with lashings of hot water.
The breakfast was amazing - freshly segmented pink and yellow grapefruit, strawberries, fantastic full cooked breakfast and toast, fresh coffee - PERFECT.
This has been the best hotel I have stayed in for a long time and excellent value for money.
Thank you for making us so welcome - we will be back very soon I hope.

My grown-up children and I enjoyed a wonderful stay (albeit, unfortunately, only one night) in this beautiful house. The welcome, rooms in the coaching house and grounds were a wonderful change from some very ordinary accommodation we have experienced. Our breakfast was a joy, both for vegetarians and carnivore. Just wandering around the gardens did me a world of good as it was so peaceful. We were just sorry that we could not stay longer and intend to stay here again when in Somerset. Lovely!

We stayed here last weekend. We loved this little place. It is really quite beautiful and full of character. The grounds are lovely and very well kept. The room we had was lovely, 4 poster bed, nice en suite, all rather oldie world. I loved it. The breakfast just about topped it off for me, lots of choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc, followed by a lovely hot breakfast, with local sausages, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, black/white pudding. Toast, fresh jams. I think this place is just lovely. I would stay here again for sure.

Room Tip: Goldington Room was ours. Fabulous.

Warm welcome , shown to a very comfortable room and given good advice about places to eat at locally. Ceiling fan helped on a very warm evening. The breakfast was freshly made with delicious cooked food , toast as well as fresh juice and fruit. The best B&B for ages
