What a beautifull country House in a beautifull old town called Somerton. The rooms facing the front lawn were superb, spacious and full of charactar. One room had a old fashioned four poster.
Breakfast was adequate and friendly staff. I would for sure recommend this B+B to my dutch friends.. For dinner and drinks visit White Hart Somerton. Walking distance, very busy place and just a wonderful pace.

Room Tip: Believe all rooms are nice, seen a couple, but in summer time you should avoid top floor, as they we...

I stayed for two nights, travelling solo, on 15th/16th May 2014 en-route to West Dorset.
As described by other visitors, this is a terrific little gem tucked away and yet within a few minutes walk of Somerton's centre, and not too far by car from Glastonbury Tor and the Clarks Shopping village. I stayed in the Coach House annexe, and the room was perfectly clean and comfortable.
A definite B&B to return to when travelling in the area. And if the weather's great, it's very pleasant strolling in the grounds or finding a corner to enjoy a few quiet moments.

This country house is delightful. I stayed in the coach house with 3 colleagues for one night on a business trip and could not find fault. The owners are friendly, the breakfast is wonderful, the rooms are spotlessly clean and very elegant. Beds, pillows etc.were high quality and very comfortable. Even saw the black swans wandering in the grounds. Beautiful house and very enjoyable stay.

My daughter and her husband and two boys nine and seven took me to the Lynch Country House for an early birthday treat. I had no idea where they were taking me, but was delighted when we arrived at the Lynch. We were shown to our rooms in the main house and both rooms were beautiful and well stocked with tea and coffee. The breakfasts are fantastic and the whole feel of the long weekend was one of luxury. Somerton is a few minutes walk away and lovely to explore. One night we ate at the Market Place Bistro which we would describe as ok. We also ate at the White Hart which in our opinion was far superior. If you are looking for a quiet country break i would highly recommend The Lynch. Dave Williams

Stayed at the Lynch on a business trip in mid November. My colleague and I arrived late on a Sunday evening, and the two rooms were left open for us. We were accommodated in the Coach house, and the rooms were very clean, comfortable and resupplied daily with tea, coffee and toiletries.
As others have commented, breakfast at the Lynch is excellent, really good quality ingredients, and the management were very accommodating in meeting our daily request for an early breakfast outside normal hours, and offered many breakfast options.
Somerton is nearby, with a couple of very good eating places within 5 minutes walking distance, the Market place Bistro in particular was very good.
Overall the focus on guest's requirements at this hotel is excellent, ensuring an enjoyable stay. I stayed 5 nights on business, but it would be an ideal base for any occasion. I would strongly recommend staying here if visiting the area.

Room Tip: Stayed in coach house annex so cannot comment on main house.

A group of us booked out The Lynch Country House for a weekend - it was my husband's 40th and we wanted somewhere to stay that was comfortable, a bit luxurious for this weekend treat, local to a lot of activities, but also easily walkable to town and some pubs and restaurants. The Lynch ticked every box and more. It is an amazing house with lots of beautiful furniture - like staying in a stately home. The rooms are a good size and well appointed and clean. The beds are really comfy too. Breakfast was fresh and hot, everything tasted great! Really good choice too. Mike and Chris were so accommodating with us all - and in the end, the house really played a huge part in a lovely weekend.

As a party of 4 couples staying for a wedding we were given the lovely coach house. The coach house has 4 rooms one with a stove and patio, the others equally nice, the middle two, just a bit smaller. Although all these rooms are on the road side we were not troubled by this at all, the road seemed to be very quiet while we were there. The main house is really lovely and breakfast was first class, nothing is too much trouble and we did not want to leave the table. The grounds are lovely and Mike and Chris are very welcoming and happy to chat and make you feel very welcome and at home, although it is also very professionally run. The black swans are delightful and ducks too. We intend to return and will try a room in the main house. We are looking forward to our return!

Room Tip: There is not a lift in the main house but nice big stairs, however the coach house is ideal if you n...
