Having eaten in Michelin starred retaurants, it is beyond me why Ston Easton Park does not have one. It is the best food we have ever had without doubt. The grounds are spectacular and the room quiet and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. Although relatively expensive, it is well worth a visit for a specal occasion.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the kitchen yard. All other have magnificent views.

Attended a wedding recently with the reception at the hotel and we stayed over. Everything on the day was so well organised - the drinks reception and canapes were first class. The wedding breakfast was top hole! and the service very effecient and unobtrusive. Our room ( a 4 poster) was very comfortable, A good size and the bathroom well appointed. Overall we were very impressed and will return one day.

We always receive a very warm welcome upon our arrival at this lovely old country house even if we are just there to dine. The staff are friendly and relaxed but very attentitive. The house is full of lovely antiques and has a fabulous original kitchen in the basement. It is well worth taking a leisurely stroll around the extensive grounds if you are able. They have an extensive wine list and the restaurant menu is pricey but you will not be disappointed! Afternoon tea is also delightful. Looking forward to our next visit. Ideally suited for visiting Wells, Bath or Bristol,

We had a two night stay at this country house hotel set in beautiful countryside not far from Bath. On arrival we were shown around the ground floor which had a variety of rooms to sit in and drink, read magazines or generally relax. We were then taken up two flights of stairs to our room – pleasant with a comfortable four poster bed but not particularly large (we had the basic room; it was an extra £50 a night to upgrade). All was very clean and checked regularly with good quality toiletries in the bathroom. In addition there was free internet access.

After unpacking we went downstairs for a cream tea in the library, which we had to ourselves. There were a variety of “proper” leaf teas and plenty of jam and cream for our scones. The manager came to check everything was OK which was a nice touch. Later in the evening we went outside to sit and look at the view whilst we had a drink – no bar but drinks are brought to you wherever you wish to sit. Service was rather slow but I think this was because there was a wedding party in residence. Service was excellent the next night.

There was a variety of meal options but we had dinner from the short à la carte menu which was delicious, though basically the same each night. I found it about the right amount for a hot summer evening but my husband felt the main courses, although beautifully presented, could have been larger or had more vegetables. Breakfast, however, was a different matter – as much as you liked and freshly cooked to order. I can thoroughly recommend the poached haddock.

Overall a very enjoyable stay though relatively expensive.

We had the pleasure of exclusive use of Ston Easton Park for our wedding reception with our family and friends last weekend - it was a fantastic!

In the months up to the wedding Victor, the Events Planner provided constant, prompt assistance. He helped ensure we used all the rooms to best effect and tweaked the menus to suit our all guests.

When guests started arriving on the Friday afternoon the staff were helpful, friendly and well informed. The Manager was present and available all weekend to ensure guests were happy - a nice touch.

On the big day the attention to detail for the table settings and food service was second to none and two special children's rooms were set up and decorated. Victor co-ordinated all the suppliers and ensured everything was prepared exactly as I had requested. Hospitality trays were provided in every room, plus lots of extra Z-beds and bedding for children.

We travelled to and from the church in a double decker bus, the coach entrance was opened specially. On our return, the jazz band were playing on the front terrace and the champagne was on hand immediately!

The food was exceptional. One of our guests who describes himself as a canapé "black belt" (as part of his career in the Navy) pronounced them the best he had ever had! The food was delicious, served hot and to everyone simultaneously. The bacon butties served late night also went down a treat!

A truly wonderful day - thank you!

Room Tip: I looked at quite a few of the rooms as we had exclusivity, my favourites were Terrace, Chinese, Pavilion, Ludlow and the Master. For a cheaper stay East Tower was good and we used it in conjunction with Slip for children.
