Description: Ston Easton Park is a breathtaking Palladian mansion set in idyllic Somerset countryside, and with this location its own Sorrel Restaurant has to be of the very highest standards. And with two AA Rosettes and reams of glowing reviews to its name, the Sorrel Restaurant does indeed provide storybook countryside dining, offering the most elegant gourmet cuisine in gloriously elegant classically inspired surroundings. Open to non-residents as well as those lucky enough to be taking a room within the splendid mansion, the Sorrel Restaurant overlooks the River Norr as it runs through green parkland, the ideal outlook for diners enjoying chef Matthew Butchers exquisite British cuisine, made with local ingredients including an abundance from Stons own kitchen garden.

“Luxury without being ostentatious”
Reviewed 9 June 2013

Visited on a weekend break through 'Secret Escapes' and had a great time. The room (Vine) on the top floor was tremendous, on two levels at the front of the building. The staff were excellent, very helpful and informative. Prices reflect the type of establishment you're staying at, but just confirm 'You get what you pay for'. If you like dogs, 'Oscar' is a great little companion !

“Wonderful winter wedding”
Reviewed 4 April 2013

We recently celebrated our wedding at Ston Easton Park. As a venue, it can't be faulted. It is truly beautiful and to all the brides to be reading this, consider a December wedding there- I can only say that the decor made it truly magical. We stayed and dealt with the venue for almost a year- visiting two times before the wedding, so I feel we can give a good overview of the hotel. Rooms are beautiful- we have seen probably half of them. All unique and quirky, you really can't go wrong. We ate twice in the restaurant and it was excellent- breakfast by far the best we have had in any place in England. The service of the staff was exceptional, especially during our wedding. The general staff went above and beyond and our guests were wowed by the entire experience. Food, service by the general staff and ambiance on our wedding day was exceptional- it made our wedding day one we will never forget... Brides to be- be aware that your experience before the wedding could leave a lot to be desired- the communication with the wedding co-ordinator was reactive and not proactive, however I would recommend the VENUE in a heart beat- as stated previously, it was magical and one that we will never forget!
