This is a refreshingly real and pure pub, with a nice atmosphere (not normally as busy but it was Burns Night) and friendly, unobtrusive staff. In the age of the chain pub, it's nice to go somewhere clearly run by a real person.
The menu admittedly wasn't hugely diverse but this embodies the pub in general, it doesn't try to be anything too fancy... you get well cooked, quickly served food in good portions. We all really enjoyed our food and will return.
