We got back today after a week there. we had a 4 bed chalet booked for this holiday and it was HUGE ! much much bigger than we anticipated..more of a semi detached house than a chalet. It was very clean too. and had two toilets !!
This park was so clean and tidy looking, which made it feel very well looked after.
plenty to do for my children, the pool was nice although a tad chilly with the outside door open ,but that was to let people in and out that wanted to use the water slide which my husband did use once.
outside play area was great too for the little ones and the indoor activity room was enjoyed also.
we ate many a time in the restaurant and the staff there were always friendly and polite, food was yum too !
the live lounge was spacious and the fun stars enjoyed themselves... we especially enjoyed simon.. he was a funny chap..
we would deffinitely go back to this site... found an old amonite fossil on the beach too ! xx

Room Tip: the 4 bed chalets are very spacious.

We booked this park at fairly short notice, but upgraded to the Prestige 3 bed, and also paid an extra £20 for the latest/newest caravan.
We were greeted by very pleasant reception staff, and given the keys and a park map.
Upon arrival at the caravan, we were very pleasantly surprised.
The caravan was spotlessly clean, and fresh smelling. Beds were very thin cheap materesses though. Ended up with an aching back by night 3, couldn't have put up with more than 4 nights on them.
The park itself was very clean and very well kept. The facilities were very good. The pool and surrounding area very clean. The kids especially enjoyed the slides at the pool.
Food onsite in the restaurant was ok, pretty middle of the road/average.
All staff onsite were extremly helpful.
Entertainment in the club was good, childrens entertainment was great.
The kids also enjoyed the aerial assault course.
Would visit again if I had cause to revisit the area.
One of the best Haven sites I have stayed on!

Nice clean holiday park. Plenty to do, good swimming pool with a cracking slide. We had a superior caravan which felt/looked as though it was a standard one, but it was clean and was a place to sleep at the end of the day! Food in the cafe/restaurant not the best (on the day we tried it). Night time entertainment is great for the kids.

One statement to sum up the pitch - do not accept it. It is completely overlooking the maintenanc
site so if you want to be woken up first thing in the morning with tractors , vehicles and goodness knows what elso driving in and out its the site for you. Your view is a small building site including skips, portabcabins etc and if you try to complain you are informed " we.ve never had complaints before about this pitch but i can see what you mean " - this is from Val the head of customer service on the site !!!. they will then offer you a refund of any nights youve stayed and to go away and find another holiday - totally ridiculous if you have your elderly mother staying in another caravan on the site , Well done haven for totally ruining someones hard earned holiday!!!!

Room Tip: dont accept 4 rookery ridge

This was my 2nd visit to this Haven park, booked as a Sun holiday deal. The facilities are not outstanding but we found the staff helpful and accomodation clean and adequate.
We were given a chalet rather than a caravan, which was large enough for 4 people and a dog and had all the usual self catering things - microwave, cooker, fridge, toaster, tv. Heating in all rooms - 1 double bedroom, 1 with 2 singles and sofa beds in lounge. Beds not the most comfy but this was budget accomodation.
The location is great for kids, the beach is mostly rocky so not good for swimming but kids were happy to play on beach for hours, tide comes in quickly so beware of gettting stuck on the beach as only few places you can get up off the beach. Doniford is not far from Minehead and Dunster and if you enjoy steam trains its on the West Somerset railway line and you can hop on a steam train at Doniford Holt a short walk up from the park.
There are activities for kids on site, climbing wall, mini golf and playground as well as swimming. Also an arcade and bar with evening entertainment and clubs during day for kids. we didnt pay for an entertainment pass so couldnt use the main entertainment facilities as they have bouncers on the door checking passes.
This year we also found a new area up the top of the site that has seating and a telescope to look out to sea.
Nice site and great for exploring the local area, if you can get it on a Sun deal its well worth the money.
