This was my 2nd visit to this Haven park, booked as a Sun holiday deal. The facilities are not outstanding but we found the staff helpful and accomodation clean and adequate.
We were given a chalet rather than a caravan, which was large enough for 4 people and a dog and had all the usual self catering things - microwave, cooker, fridge, toaster, tv. Heating in all rooms - 1 double bedroom, 1 with 2 singles and sofa beds in lounge. Beds not the most comfy but this was budget accomodation.
The location is great for kids, the beach is mostly rocky so not good for swimming but kids were happy to play on beach for hours, tide comes in quickly so beware of gettting stuck on the beach as only few places you can get up off the beach. Doniford is not far from Minehead and Dunster and if you enjoy steam trains its on the West Somerset railway line and you can hop on a steam train at Doniford Holt a short walk up from the park.
There are activities for kids on site, climbing wall, mini golf and playground as well as swimming. Also an arcade and bar with evening entertainment and clubs during day for kids. we didnt pay for an entertainment pass so couldnt use the main entertainment facilities as they have bouncers on the door checking passes.
This year we also found a new area up the top of the site that has seating and a telescope to look out to sea.
Nice site and great for exploring the local area, if you can get it on a Sun deal its well worth the money.
