Having discovered Wincanton's unique twinning with the fictional city of Ankh-MorpoAnkh-Morpork, and the local attachment the town has to author Sir Terry Pratchett, I took my partner (who is a huge fan of his) to Wincanton to visit this quaint little shop. It houses all things Discworld related, from all the novels, to games, memorabilia, and delightful odds and ends associated with the Disc World universe. The shop has much character, and the staff (one lady in particular called, Reb) was incredibly helpful - not just in taking the time to respond to my many inquisitive emails - but in their friendly manner, and enthusiasm in the world of the novels, and Sir Terry Pratchett.
My partner and I came away with huge smiles. Quaint, friendly and recommended if passing through.
It may be handy to mention for visitors to Wincanton, the town has a 'twinned with Ankh-Morpork' sign to view, as well as a few Disc World related street signs within a new development being built!
