Description: The Ramblers Retreat is an award winning country tearoom nestled in the Dimmingsdale, part of the beautiful Churnet Valley in Staffordshire. Our menu is homemade using only the best ingredients, many of which are sourced from local suppliers in the Staffordshire Moorlands. And as well as a delicious meal you can also enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of Dimmingsdale, this spectacular valley by following one of the established woodland walks. We look forward to seeing you soon.

We arrived 7 of us for morning coffee and we were made to feel so welcome, we decided that we would come back for lunch, so off we trotted and came back to the same table for lunch. Both experiences were wonderful and the staff were amazing. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Visited the Ramblers on many occasions with living locally and I have never been disappointed with the food or the service. Tucked away down in Dimmingsdale the Ramblers is a great spot for a bite to eat either before or after a walk .... can not fault it !

I have grown up around the area all my life and have visited this family owned and run tea room many times ! But I have not been for a long time due to running a very busy award winning pub / restaurant in Denstone ! It is really great to see they haven't lost their touch ! The food was excellent and the Lemon Meringue Pie to die for !! If you've never been here before you must give it a try ! They have a snug room crammed with all thier many awards. The garden areas with waterfalls and fountains are magical , then walk it off around the lakes and woodland .

We went for lunch on Easter Sunday and I had mentioned that my son was autistic so they were very helpful and put us in the snug which worked well as there were less things to send him into overdrive. The food was really lovely. I had the homemade pie, my daughter loved the home made burger and my husband had roast beef. There were lots of choices and lots of specials and lovely desserts too. I thought it was great that they had not inflated the prices for Easter Sunday too and the whole thing with wine cost just over £43 which we thought was very reasonable. Afterwards we had a walk at the back of the car park but for pushchairs / wheelchairs we found it was better to cross the road and walk on the dissused railway track which is very flat and easy on the wheels. We loved it so much that we came back the following day and this time sat in the lovely garden and had baguettes, again lovely and really fresh. My son loved the garden with the fountains as it was very sensory so would recommend for special needs children / adults.
