When i visited The ramblers Retreat with my partner after a long and tiring bike ride around the local forest area which is very extensive we popped in for a quick drink. We've been past the ramblers many times before but never had chance to stop by. It was such a lovely day we decided to stay for some food. I thoroughly enjoyed my jacket potato with a gorgeous salad which i was told was all sourced locally and i finished the lot. My partner enjoyed a steak and ale pie with plenty of home made chips and vegetables which almost made wish i'd had that myself. We enjoyed our meal so much we went back for desert. I polished off a lovely chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and my partner had homemade bread and butter pudding, they were both huge portions. We sat outside in the gardens, which has such amazing scenery and stayed afterwards for another drink. There is also a conservatory where you can sit inside and enjoy the food which also looked delightful. I would recommend this place to anyone i know and more.
