Stayed here again with the family - as good as the first time. Clean, quiet, friendly and a good breakfast. Great little dogs - Chad is the best. :-) So close to the theme park, excellent!
Would also recommend the Blacksmiths Arms and the Bull's head Inn in Alton for evening meals. V. good! Would not hesitate to stay there again, by far the best one around.

Gorgeous little bed and breakfast. So rural and pretty and the rooms are spotless and just perfect. This truly made our weekend. Our daughter loved the little dogs and chickens and playing with the toys and on the slide. The breakfast was the best we have had in a hotel in the UK in years. We will definitely be back. It's so close to Alton towers you can walk there in no time at all. We didn't want to leave and would happily have stayed.
The owner is friendly and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation.

Absolutely Amazing! We stayed at The Chained Oak for a family trip to Alton Towers (2 Adults and 3 Kids), and can't praise it enough. We stayed in the large Family Suite for two nights, which was absolutely immaculate, and so comfortable. The kids loved the tree-house and animals at the end of the garden, and it was so relaxing just sitting outside on a warm summers evening after a hectic day on the roller-coasters!!! Liz and Steve were away on holiday when we stayed, but Liz's sister was taking care of the place and she couldn't have been friendlier - nothing was a hassle, and she made us all feel so welcome. Being less than a mile from the entrance to Alton Towers its an ideal location, but to be honest we'd stay there even if we weren't visiting the theme park. We all wished we were staying longer as its such an ideal B&B. Would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone, couples or families alike, and would love to stay there again at some point.

We stayed at the Chained Oak B&B for one night as part of a day trip to Alton Towers. Despite arriving before check in time, Liz gave us a very warm welcome and allowed us to park the car while we went to the theme park, thus saving on parking charges. As others have mentioned, the B&B is perfectly located for access to Alton towers - a short 10 minute walk up the road takes you to the parks front gates! After a very wet day on the rides, it was a relief to be able to saunter back the comfort of the B&B and avoid the closing time traffic maddnes. The grounds of the B&B are beautifully well kept and surrounded by peaceful countryside. Our room had everything we needed for a short stay including a generous amount of tea and coffee, a flat screen tv and some hair/body soap in the bathroom. Breafast was served in the conservatorty and was fantastic - It was cooked very quickly and Liz even went out of her way to suggest some nearby places to visit on our way home.

The Chained Oak is an ideal B&B, we wish we could have stayed longer but will defiently be back!

This b&b was the highlight of our 2 day trip to Alton Towers.
From the moment we arrived Liz made us feel so welcome, we stayed in the family suite for 6 people and it was perfect.
We stayed for 2 nights and wish we had longer, the choice of food at breakfast was outstanding everything you could ask for was there.
After a soaking wet day at Alton Towers we made good use of the tumble dryer and the boiler room for our boots.
The location was perfect just a 5 minute walk to Alton Towers, saving us money on the car park.
Stunning loctaion and perfect b&b, we will be returning in the near future.

Would recommend the Chained Oak in a heartbeat for anyone visiting Alton Towers & area overnight or more.
Easy to find, comfy accommodation, very close to Alton Towers, warm welcome, great breakfast.
We had a very rainy day but so thankful we were able to use the tumble dryer & stay over rather than drive home in wet clothes. the views and area are stunning & Liz is very helpful with any detail! Cant wait for next year! we'll be back!

We stayed here just for 1 night but wished we had booked for longer ! Liz is a lovely host who made us feel very welcome and the standard of the accomodation was excellent. The whole place was charming and very conveniently near the theme park.
Our room was spotless and very comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. The dining area was lovely with gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made and we were able to order in takeaway locally for our evening meal.
What made our stay perfect was that our son who has severe autism, felt happy and relaxed whilst there and Liz was very accepting accomodating to his needs. I would highly recommend this lovely B+B and we will definately return.
