This busy cafe alongside Barton Marina offers a good welcome, a happy atmosphere and very good food. Downside is that orders are taken only at the counter - but they are speedily delivered to the table by ever-smiling staff. There is only one multi-sex toilet cubicle but, in other rtespects, this is a very nice place for lunch or afternoon tea.

My hubby and I and our granddaughters visited today, my granddaughter and I both had a lovely slice of Victoria sponge and delicious hot chocolate, my other granddaughter had a lovely slice of chocolate fudge cake, all were very tasty, hubby had a sandwich and salad, his bread was slightly dry, but the salad was delicious and nicely presented, a little on the pricey side, but lovely as a treat. Good service and staff very helpful will visit again when in the area.

Had a take away cake and sandwich yesterday what a mistake - ham was pale and tasteless. Not that you could taste it through the thick runny layer of cheap brought in piccalilli or the stale bread, opted for the bale well slice when I ate it was dry and had a thick layer of Icing similar to a wedding cake not the water icing you expect on bake well it actually fell off the bake was that dry wasted £9 oh and the coffee was burnt.

We visit here very regularly and always have great food. We had a sandwich and latte and the presentation of the sandwich and salad was very good. The coffee is always good too. Will continue to visit the apple tree as it is also good value for money.
