1st visit impressed with venue and with staff all in authentic costumes!
The food was very good we all really enjoyed it
nice poppadoms and dips on the table whilst we waited
Lovely selection on the menu including vegetarian options
the presentation was lovely too!
The staff worked so hard and the place was full being a Friday night!
However the waiting was not good!
after 2 an a half hours we had only had our starter!
We did not really mind as such four ladies out for the evening with plenty to talk about!
but it would have been different if we had been taking people there to eat as a family treat for
example! we would have felt uncomfortable waiting so long for the food.
I do not want to be unfair in any way to the venue and would like to try it again, it may have been that staff were off or they were extra busy and the long waiting time was not the norm?
We were almost the last to leave certainly in our part of the restaurant we had coffee but did not ask for sweets. It was almost midnight when we arrived home the table was booked for 7.30 pm we had two courses and we live about 14 miles away! work it out for yourself!
it would have been 10 out of 10

Have visited this restaurant with group of friends & with my other half. Atmosphere & food excellent both times but feel this restaurant is over priced. Circa £20 for main plus more £ for rice. Be careful of the offers. Two for one offer in evening but must have paid for AND vacated table by 19:30. Whose to say your meal won't be delayed?

We didn't book but at peak times you must. From arriving to leaving we were treated brilliantly. The service was great and left room between courses to digest the previous course. The food was amazing from the initial poppadoms to the curry and other dishes we had. The sweets were mouth watering for the ladies, the men didn't indulge. Whilst it was slightly dearer than some it was well worth paying as everything was exceptional, I would certainly have paid more. I will definitely go back even though I live 50 mile away.

We booked Sunday Lunch here. It was very quiet, just a few people were there

The young waitress was very friendly and helpful and they are prepared to change dishes to meet individual requests. The food was very good. The taste was compressed and very immediate- obviously freshly cooked.

My only criticism would be that the service, though positive and cheerful as well as helpful, was a little slow. Maybe this was because of the food having been freshly prepared

The decor is a little dark and oppressive but maybe in character with the theme. I would also recommend caution in approaching the turn-off from the busy A38. I was very careful but despite that I nearly overshot the turn

Sunday lunchtime was half-price so we shall return. Definitely.
