Stayed for a couple of nights in single room(s) - had problems with the aircon which resulted in a move from one room to another, then had the same problem again. The staff were excellent, being very helpful in trying to resolve my problem - similar helpfulness with the breakfast girls. Other reviewers have described the overall feel of the hotel, car parking was adequate, but if arriving by car you should keep your eyes open, the hotel is on an island and if you blink you'll have to go round again. Didn't sample the restaurant. Would I stay there again, yes, the pricing was fairly keen.

I came into this hotel a few months back with some friends from burton and had some coffees served by a lovely welcoming receptionist. She was very helpful and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. After this visit we came back about 2 weeks ago and a different lady was on reception she was very rude and we felt like we was unwelcome. We asked her if we could order some coffees and soft drinks and we was told we would have to wait until 5pm when the other staff member comes on because she was too busy. It was about 3:30 when we was told this. We was so disgusted about this we left after waiting 30 minutes. I could not believe the difference in service. I do not no who to write a complaint to but I am hoping this will be passed on so someone can please talk to this staff member about their attitude to customers.

We have just had 2 nights at The Three Queens and had a really lovely weekend. Burton is full of character an the hotel is very central. We were fortunate enough to get an up grade and had the Victoria suite which whilst be a little dated was really lovely. We had a bottle of sparkling wine waiting in our room when we arrived. The 3 course meal which was included, was simple but tasty. Breakfast was fine and free parking and wifi - not at all bad for what we paid. We over looked a main road and thought it might be noisy but were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. Thankfully we had air con which we need as it was such a hot weekend.

Yes loved loved - many thanks

Having had our booking at a dfferent out of town hotel screwed up (The MW), leaving us with no room and the prospect of nowhere to stay, the Three Queens not only took us in at 22:30, but gave us such wonderful service. The reception staff were so welcoming, accommodating and just all round nice. The room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. After all the hassle, I think we got a far better room than The MW, a better deal and most definitely better service. Its not a main stream hotel with all the mod cons, but its probably better for it.

Room Tip: Rooms 223 and 224 - a bit of a trek and lots of stairs but well worth the peace and quiet

we went for a relaxing break following my husbands recent heart attack and were very glad we chose this hotel , we were greeted with the warmest mannar from the receptonist and she explained everything to us ,everyone was so friendly and would go out there way to help you .We stayed in the lodge and was not disappointed, yes the air con was a fan in our room but it was adequate, the only littlest bug was that there was no shower mat and it does become slippy. The breakfast was made to order and they were fantastic people nothing was to much trouble. The Hotel is a little dated but that makes it all the more friendly,if anyone does have a complaint then they will try to sort it ,within easy reach of most places and great places for real ale, would definatly recommend this hotel and would stop here again without a problem .There is no lifts but im sure if you couldnt manage your bags then they would help fantastic place to stay. Thank you .

i had to stay over in burton on trent for two days and stayed at this hotel, the price was very good and included a full english breakfast every morning. the room was clean, comfortable bed with full onsuite bathroom, coffee making facility and TV
I had dinner in the bar and they served good english food like fish and chips with mushy peas, the staff were pleasant and in the morning for breakfast, you were given a menu with waitress service. it was a relaxed atmosphere and if i was in burton on trent again then i would only stay at this hotel, it is only a 10 min walk to the centre of the town.
