We stayed here for one night and wished it could have been longer. The Farm is towards the end of a quiet lane and overlooks fields and a river, has an indoor swimming pool, and there's a good pub/restaurant at the end of the road. The room (in the attached barn) was enormous, with an extremely comfortable super-king sized bed, two sofas along with other sundry items of nice furniture, tea making facilities (plus biscuits and bottled water), a fridge, a trouser press etc, - all the usual extras one would expect from an upmarket B and B. However, a first for us was the addition of just about anything you could have needed, from fluffy hotwater bottle, a little box of mending items, games, books, an iron and ironing board, and probably more items tucked away in one of the many drawers and cupboards. We wanted for nothing. The breakfast was sumptuous with almost any combination available and really cheerful serving staff. We thought it was excellent value for money and if we need to stay in that part of the country again Oak Tree Farm will be top of our list for accommodation!

Me and my husband stayed here on the 18th august,we were welcomed at the door by our hostess who was extremely friendly ,after checking in we were shown to our room which was lovely and clean ,the view out of the window was stunning looking over the river.Breakfast was delicious and a nice touch was a toaster on the table to help yourself to,a lovely pot of tea to finish off a most enjoyable experience. We were there for a family get-together and it was my sister-in-law who recommended it to us.The beds are extremely comfortable so a good nights sleep was had by both of us.

Room Tip: Rooms in the front of main house have views over the river

We had visited the national monument arboretum and stayed overnight here, wonderfull, the reception was first class, we had a lovely big airey room with four poster bed,at no extra cost, the staff were great, nothing was too much trouble & boy what a breakfast, full english to die for, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, smoked haddock and poached eggs, kippers, etc.
every table had its own toaster, what a great idea, never seen it before, but how good is that, lovely views over the paddock and river, it makes yyou proud to be english.
just another point, good pub with good grub in the village 200 yds away 'The Tame Otter'

We paid 5 star prices but only got 3 star accommodation. The room was large but the pillows were hard and the towels thin. The breakfast was substantial but lacked 5 star extras like croissants and fresh rolls (there was only ordinary sliced bread). The owners were hardly ever there but the two ladies who were left to cook breakfast and clean the rooms were extremely helpful and gave very good service.

We recently spent one night at this bed and breakfast, the welcome was warm, we were given a choice of rooms, the room was both clean and well equipped. The bed was super comfortable, and both my husband and I suffer from bad backs! The breakfast the following morning was delicious, I cannot recommend this b&b highly enough!
