We stopped in a Luxury room with spa bath. Room was spacious and clean.

Hotel is in a great location. Breakfast was fabulous! Ate in the brasserie, food was very good but was quite expensive. The carvary was good value for money.

We got a deal on the luxury room, but would not pay the full price.

Would definately stop again.

We held our wedding reception here on Saturday 23rd April 2011. Everything was perfect and we could not of wished for a better day. The whole place is beautifully decorated, very clean and very well maintained. The food was exceptional, everyone really enjoyed it. All of the staff were very approachable and could not do enough for us.

Most of the hotel rooms were booked by our family and friends and everyone said how spacious and luxurious they were. Our room was lovely, huge four poster bed (very comfy, in fact everyone commented on how comfy their beds were!) and the bathroom was fitted to a very high standard... the jacuzzi bath was a treat! The breakfast was delicious- the best hotel breakfast I have ever had and again, the staff were very friendly. A massive thank you to everyone at The Three Horseshoes.

It is always an absolute pleasure to visit this hotel. Since our first visit (see last review) we have visited on a number of times to 'chill out' ! Our last visit was excellent so we thought it was time to add some new photographs and a more up to date review.

The bedrooms are simply superb - very modern, spotlessly clean, quiet and have all those little luxuries you need to help you to pamper yourself. Our Executive Room was wonderful, with fantastic views of The Roaches, and with a wonderful power shower!
The bathroom toiletries were of a good quality. On previous visits we have also had standard rooms - these too are of a very high standard.

The food in The Carvery and The Brasserie was excellent, as were both breakfasts. The Brasserie has won many well deserved awards for the quality of it's food. Becuase of the nature of the hotel it manages to retain it's 'olde world' feel alongside the new modern block - we sat by a log fire in the older part of the hotel in the afternoon soaking up the atmosphere and then ate in the very modern restaurant at night.

We fail to see why anyone could criticise this wonderful gem of a hotel and will gladly answer any questions from people considering using the hotel. It is ALWAYS a pleasure to stay here -

My wife and I decided to stayed here as we were going to spend the day at Alton Towers for our first wedding annerversary, (Yeah, i know).
After looking at a few places we deceided to stay here, and I for one was not disappointed.
First impressions were of a lovely country inn, with the lights over the trees outside it immediately made it seem warm and welcoming. After booking in we made our way to our room and was struck by how clean, well thought out and superbly decorated it was. We dropped our bags and went straight to the bar. The main building and the hotel are connected so within a few steps we were there. A typical olde inn, with oak beams and good selection of drinks we settled down to relax and chat.
A quick scan at the season menu quickly confirmed my choice, a carvery, although there IS a very good choice of food available for everybody. As im a late eater I asked if I could be served last and was told that was no problem, the carvery closed at 10 but the assistant manager told me if I wanted I could eat at about 10.15.
The waitress brought everything to us and nothing was too much trouble.
So to bed, quiet, comfortable and woke up feeling great although I so cozy I didnt want to get out of the bed. Went for breakfat in the brasserie, full English with a table also available packed with continental selection. Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had and the scrambled eggs were to die for.
After checking out I actually had a pang of regret that I wasnt staying for another night. Im a coach driver and as such have stayed in many many hotels up and down the country and I can honestly say this is without doubt, one of the best!

I arranged a lunch party for my Mum's 80th Birthday. A few of us stayed at the hotel. I was very impressed with the staff, the hotel, the food and the views.
Everything was great and my Mum said it was her best birthday ever!

We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a wedding nearby at The Roaches. Room was modern and very clean - bathroom was immaculate and bed was very comfortable! A couple of things let it down such as the not-so-great quality carpet or floor tiles in the bathroom but they were clean and pratical. Our room was an executive room (£112.50) which I thought was slightly overpriced considering our room was on the ground floor looking onto the car park - someone was literally getting out their car a few inches from our window - so had to keep the curtains shut most of the time. This isn't really a criticism, you have to have a carpark, I would just have expected to pay a little less than we did for this room. Breakfast was nice and there was plently of choice, and staff were friendly. We didn't eat in the resturant but there are certificates to say it is award winning.

Stayed here as a base for visiting local sites and villages. Managed to get 3 nights for the price of 2 so decided to book an Executive room. The room was of a high standard, spacious, clean with tea and coffee making faciilities. The bathroom looked brand new.

On the first night we ate in the Brasserie and as it was excellent food (well deserved of the awards it has been given) and we all wanted to try something new on the menu, we ate in the Brasserie again on the 2nd night! The service was also excellent as was the breakfasts each morning.

The Steam Railway at Chedwell (about a 15 min drive away) is also worth a visit.

Our friends who we went with also couldn't praise this hotel enough, which we were thankful of as we had booked this hotel after eating at the carvery the year before.
