We've just returned from a week in The Barn at Ringehay Holiday Cottages and we couldn't have had a better time.
Four of us plus Floss our Border Collie meet up each October and have a week away together. We usually chose a cottage two to three hours drive from home so maximum time is spent together and not travelling. This particular week was even more special as we were celebrating two 60th birthdays and a 40th Wedding anniversary!
On arrival we found freshly made bread, milk, butter, biscuits and the tea tray all laid out for our arrival. Nita and Darren really have worked incredibly hard to make this a beautiful place to stay, they've thought of everything.
We were very impressed with the standard of the cottage and how clean and well kept everything was - the quality of everything is fantastic. We were also impressed at how they are really trying to think about the environment, providing environmentally friendly products to use for cleaning and washing and having a good recycling ethic, something that's close to our hearts too.
Thank you for having us and making our holiday very special.
Debbie

The Barn is fantastic and we would echo all previous comments regarding the excellent quality of furnishings, welcome and facilities. Nothing has been overlooked. We (Mum, Dad, 16 + 11 year olds + Grandad) enjoyed a superb week in July. The weather was not great but it was no hardship to come back to The Barn a little early as we felt so comfortable there. There are so many attractions, walks and places of interest within striking distance. We'll have to return to see more of them.

Excellent cottage which has everything you will needs. The quality of the fixtures fittings and contents are of high standard and the owners are on hand if needed but leave you alone if you dont. The hens wait outside the door to be fed and the ducks in the pond opposite the door also like you to remember they want feeding too. The sun was shinning all week so we had lots of bbqs facing onto the wonderful scenary. Loads of places to visit - we needed to stay longer to see everything. Downstairs room ideal for elderly or disabled with downstairs wet room nearby. Having two upstairs ensuite rooms is ideal. The lovely leather chairs and settees are comfortable but quite low if you have a problem with your legs or back but you can bring in the dining room chairs which are higher. The dining room is lovely but we barely used it as weather was so good. Kitchen has a lovely big table where you can sit around to eat as well. Don't think about it just book it you wont regret it

Hello Meppy, and thank you for your lovely review. We're pleased you enjoyed your stay, and you got some sun too...!! We're sorry if you found the lounge furniture a bit too low for your comfort, just to let you know, since your stay we have re-furnished the lounge completely (in both cottages!) so if you do plan a return visit some time, you might find it a little easier on the legs next time!

Happy Holidays & warm regards from Ringehay Holiday Cottages.

As we arrived at The Barn, the freshly baked bread arrived, and the tea tray all set up ready for our arrival. Lots of detail and thought has gone into making these cottages outstanding accommodation. All beautifully decorated, very comfy beds, spotless throughout.

The weekend was to celebrate my 40th birthday - 'Spa For You' visited on Friday evening where we spent the evening having indian head massages and pampering. The arrival of snow meant that we couldnt get the cars out, so 'oh dear - we had to walk to the pub'. Owners very helpful in giving us directions and as we aimed to head home on Monday, Nita kindly spent an hour shovelling snow to help us get the cars out! Shame though as we would happily have stayed longer. Definitely aim to return and recommend 100%.

It looks like we will be making this our annual place for our birthday/pre christmas get together. This year we celebrated my 50th, and the card and cocktail was such a nice suprise.

Once again can only rave about the accomadation its definately 5 star and I honestly cannot find anything to fault or even give any constructive criticism as everything has been thought of to make your stay a wonderful experience.

Nita and Darren are the perfect host, who are there is you want them but otherwise leave you to your own devices.

Once again a perfect weekend, we will definately be back .Thanks Nita and Darren
