it was a rainy afternoon in Leek and i was visiting. i had already been turned off by the high street shops, all the same and all chains. i was destined to get soaked as i had my 2 super well behaved brussels griffon dogs....and UK is not a dog friendly country...at all. a nice lady in a beautiful wine shop recommended this cafe. not only it was dog friendly ad a shelter from the rain, the style is creative and amazing, the staff super friendly and food/drinks full of local and organic home made fare. it's a townhouse with several rooms, all bursting with modern arts and with different style of furniture; one room has also boxes with intelligent toys for children. upstairs there is a hair salon and the restroom walls are lined with all magazine pictures. all in all beautiful atmosphere, good food, great decor and gorgeous art that is for sale. for someone like me who lives in london, prices are quite affordable too. i would go to Leek just to go to that cafe. loved it!!!
