“Fantastic hotel and staff”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 via mobile

We needed a disabled room as I'm in a wheelchair and this was readily available at the time but only for 2 of our 3 night stay. The staff managed to change this on our arrival which is excellent. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and had the meal deal for breakfast the following morning. The food was not bad in the evening but sadly the breakfast the following morning was not too good. They had run out of eggs and the rest was cold and dried up and this was 08.30. We did however get a refund on the breakfast and as this is a brand new hotel in its first week of opening I think this is expected to have a few problems.
The second night we opted to eat in the Chinese Restaurant across the road ( Laurel Inn ). There was no ramp for wheelchairs but the staff helped me in and out. The food was amazing and probably the best Chinese food we have eaten. They gave our son a lovely keepsake present of some metal chopsticks in a case.
On the third night we drove just outside Leek for a meal at a country pub called The a rock Inn. This too was great food and worth a drive too.
We had a great stay at this hotel but sadly we were disappointed with the sound deadening as on our last night my wife had to go to reception at midnight to complain about thievery noisy people above us who seemed to be running up and down constantly. Although this stopped the ceiling above continued to creak for an hour afterwards. God only knows what these people were up to! Although our room was spotless on arrival they never cleaned it properly during our stay which we pointed out to the staff on leaving.
The staff were great throughout, Gareth was very helpful and William in our opinion was a star who was always very friendly and chatty. A great hotel and lovely helpful staff.

I stayed here on the opening night for two days. The location in the town centre is very convenient and there is on site free parking. Rooms are comfortable and up to the usual premier Inn standard. The new design of the wardrobe space is in my opinion not the best design with no shelves and limited storage space apart from a few hangers. Rooms are well appointed and staff were friendly. My only negative was at breakfast. The berries/fruit were still frozen but the cooked breakfast was superb. I had an issue with the card machine when attempting to pay in the restaurant. It rejected my card on three occasions and the waitress had to get two managers to sort it. It took over ten minutes to sort out and I would have liked an apology. The site has no actual bar only a restaurant where drinks are available which I feel is s shame as I enjoy a relaxing drink when I am staying at a hotel. The "Pabna" Indian restaurant just across the road is superb and well worth trying. Service was excellent.

We arrived at this new hotel on the opening day (18th August), stayed overnight ,and had the Premier breakfast next morning. The staff and hotel facilities were outstanding, as was the breakfast. The room, bed, bathroom and TV were well up to the standard you'd expect from a 5-star hotel, at a fraction of the price. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a magnificent Belgian Beer Bar (Den Engel) and one of the best Thai restaurants we've ever eaten in (Sothai).
If you've never been to Leek go there, and stay here!
