Absolutely brilliant stay, rooms clean and nicely furnished. Beds very comfortable with plenty of extra pillows.
Took advantage of the unlimited breakfast pay for 1 adult and 2 children under 16 eat free. Breakfast and room were far superior to that offered by Gommersal Park Hotel near Leeds as supposed 5 star hotel near Leeds. Yvette waitress at breakfast on Monday morning was particularly warm and welcoming. I was astonished at having the choice of over 14 different types of tea for breakfast and everything was cooked to order. Gommersal Park take note!!! What excellent service and standards will definately book again.

Myself, husband and young daughter have just returned from a three day stay at this hotel. We used this hotel as a base for a trip to Alton Towers (25mins drive away). The staff are very friendly and helpful, our room was spotless and there was plenty of room for the three of us to move about without tripping over one another! We ate at the restaurant next door for breakfast and a meal in the evening. The food was fantastic and we were looked after by a server called Lisa who goes above and beyond to look after you. The prices for an evening meal were reasonable and the buffet breakfast for £7.99 is well worth the money.
We would use this hotel agiain if we visit Alton Towers.

We arrived near to midnight, dripping wet and dishevelled. Night desk staff were excellent, quickly sorted out a minor problem with our air conditioning. Room was very clean and comfortable, all staff were friendly and the food was of a high quality and good value. Concerts in the forest at nearby Canock are excellent. Check the Forestry Commission website.

We had two family rooms and two doubles on 25th June, when we were going to a wedding at Sandon Hall further up the A51. Four families, twelve people including two babies.
We found the staff very helpful. We explained that we needed to check in a little earlier than usual, in order to get to the wedding on time, and happily, this was possible. The hotel is well appointed and everything is in new condition. The decor is purple, which I liked. The family rooms were spacious and there were travel cots for the babies (as requested).
The car park is very convenient both for the hotel and the "Colliers" pub/restaurant next door.
We all slept well in the comfortable beds.
Next morning, the breakfast at the Colliers was excellent. It's good value whether you choose the continental or the full breakfast. If you have two children under fifteen, they eat free if one adult pays for the full breakfast. This is a really family-friendly offer!
The breakfast items all looked appetising and there was a good selection. I thought it was a bit of a performance to have to find a member of staff to warm my croissant for me - this is what you are asked to do - but in fact it only took a moment and the young lady did it most cheerfully.
We will come again if we are ever in the area!

Booked hotel for 3 nights, arrived Wednesday about 1.30pm went to check-in and asked for a down stairs room because both my self and the wife have walking sticks and find it hard climbing stairs, receptionist changed our rooms to No.1, what a mistake that was, none of the windows open in this hotel so you have air-con working all the time, we moved into room 1 temp about 14C no instructions on how to adjust, no phone in room so had to go to reception and ask, given a piece of over photo-copied instructions, It seems room 1 is directly under the main exit door and corridor, which you hear every one going to their rooms, also air-con comes on full blast at about 3am and goes off 30min later, doesn't respond to the controls, not a good nights sleep. told reception we needed to move so they moved us to Room 3, a lot quieter, but i was so tired i would have slept through an earth quake, Restaurant next door Colliers Arms, went there for lunch and dinner, and breakfast, all meals very good, service very good.

Room Tip: They have a lift get an upstair room,
