We were a group of four and had two rooms in the small barn which were lovely. There were kitchen facilities should we have needed them. The beds were very comfortable and there was no noise at night. It was lovely seeing the animals and reminded us of holidays when the children were young when we stayed on farms. Would highly recommend it and can't wait to revisit. We had a good full English breakfast that we paid extra for but was well worth it.

Stayed here after day out in Alton towers. Very beautiful location, lovely rooms, good continental breakfast. Our room was right beside breakfast area so felt a bit lacking in privacy however that's the only small negative. Would reccommend. The Roebuck inn is a lovely bar just 1 min walk away. The Green Man served a lovely evening meal 5 min drive away.

Highfields was a lovely place to stay for my birthday night away as a special treat. We visited with our 2 year old son and were treated to the most wonderful hospitality, a warm reception on arrival telling us all about where we were to be staying and the amenities. We stayed in the Marigold room in the small barn which was comfortable, very clean with a wet room style shower and had enough room to fit a travel cot in. We had an evening meal cooked for us which was delicious (choice of 3 or 4 home-cooked dishes), personally delivered and served to the dining table in the small barn. The whole area around the b&b and views over beautiful buttercup fields provided a restful and peace filled spot. Our little boy loved visiting the farm pig Sophie, seeing the chickens and the 2 friendly dogs, breakfast was a filling farmhouse cooked affair with tasty sausages, bacon and toast and eggs fresh from the farm hens.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this delightful, welcoming B&B. A little gem hidden in the heart of the potteries.

Room Tip: If you want to have your own little bolt hole and use of private kitchen facilities then opt for one...

Wonderful B&B that was a sight for sore eyes for Lands End to John O'Groats runner Joseph Mbu. Terrific welcome, great chat and wonderful kindness that he will forever be grateful for.
We hope to meet you again!

This B and B is superb, as a previous reviewer commented 'home from home'. The room we stayed in was clean, spacious and most comfortable with all that you need. Breakfast was very enjoyable with a great selection of cereals, yogurt and a cooked breakfast. The staff are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely stay again for longer and would recommend to friends and family.

We stayed here for 1 night only during a cold and snowy snap. The room (Marigold) was large and the bed comfy. It had a wonderful view down the valley. It was very useful to have the small, well equipped kitchen available which meant we could stay in and eat. We did not pay the extra for a full english breakfast so we ate in the small kitchen and prepared our own breakfast. There was a choice of cereal, orange juice, bread (only white sliced available) margarine and a variety of jams. Whilst adequate it would have been nice to have some different breads, and perhaps some butter. If we stay again we would definately pay the extra for a full breakfast. Jenny and Phil were really lovely people, very kind and welcoming. They kindly helped us to get out which was difficult due to the snow.
I would definately recommend Highfield farm.

I have stayed at Highfields Farm regularly for the last year or so while working in the area, and I would thoroughly recommend it. Jenny and Phil are welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

The home comforts, spotlessly clean spacious rooms, great beds and kitchen facilities make it a great location for the long term business traveller, not to mention the very reasonable tariff!

Room Tip: The two rooms in the small barn have easy access to kitchen and dining facilities, great for self ca...
