My companies Head Office is in Tamworth & I have stayed pretty well everywhere in Tamworth in the last few years. This is probably the best option.
Centrally located, modern, clean & a comfy bed. Service is friendly, broadband is free, which is important when on business.
£1 parking fee every time you want to leave their car park seems a little cheap & unnecessary, but overall a solid option.

Cannot fault this hotel, visited in October with my husband and 3 year old son as we were visiting Thomas Land at Drayton Manor. On arrival our first impressions were that the hotel reception was modern and clean and the staff were very accommodating. Our room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was really modern, the shower was fab. Flat screen TV and free wifi were great. Our son slept on the sofa bed which was folded down and made up for arrival, he loved his big bed and slept like a log! The best thing about this hotel has to be the location, we found it easily with sat nav (visiting from Scotland) and it wa so close to everything! 10 minutes to Drayton Manor, 5 minutes to retail park with loads of shops, asda and sainsburys. Ate out at Frankie & Bennys one night and that was nice too. We visited Snow Dome which is literally next door to the hotel and my son absolutely loved that. We also went bowling one night which was a short 5 minute walk over the walkway bridge. All in all a great trip and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, just for location alone! We will be back :)

If you're looking for a clean comfortable bed, simple stay and no extra thrills while visiting Tamworth, then you can't go wrong with the Holiday Inn Express. Situated right in the center, it's super convenient and only 5 min walk from the train station and looks right on to the lake.

You can get a discount for the hotel if you've booked a session at the Snowdome next door too.

Stayed here recently for 3 nights with my husband and 2 young boys for a trip to nearby Drayton Manor and Thomas Land. After a long 6 hour journey from Scotland we arrived at the hotel. Check in was quick although the girl checking us in (can't remember her name but know her badge said trainee) failed to provide us with any information at all about the hotel, all that was mentioned was our room number I had to return to reception to enquire what time breakfast was served at. She also failed to mention about the wifi facility in the hotel and it wasn't until the next evening that we noticed a sign about it in reception. This was rather disappointing as we had just been using our mobile data. Perhaps better training is required for the check in procedures?
Apart from that, we encountered friendly staff who were very helpful, Especially one lady on reception who went to the trouble of printing off a map for us of restaurants that she recommended in the local area. Breakfast was good with plenty of selection and replenished often. The rooms were nice and clean and the hotel not too noisy.
Would recommend for a budget break away and would return as it certainly provides value for money.

Room Tip: There is smoking and non smoking rooms at this hotel

Booked into this hotel by my company, reception very welcoming though a little slow, needs more staffing, room was very clean and spacious. Bathroom very modern and well kept with a large shower cubical. Location was also very good within walking distance of the town centre which is where my colleagues walked to enjoying an evening meal.
Being next to the lake made a late evening walk and early morning a refreshing experience.
