We stayed at the Tamworth Arms to visit the nearby National Memorial Arboretum at Alwras. For only £45 the double room and breakfast was very good value. We had dinner in the pub which was also enjoyable with a varied menu. The room with en suite shower room was light and modern and clean. Would recommend this for anyone wanting an overnight stay in the area.

The Tamworth Arms or better known as The Bottom House is a town pub with accommodation. It is the first time we have stayed at such an establishment and we were very pleasantly surprised how good it was. The location on the roundabout was ideal and easy to find. There is an adequate car park at the rear and is easy parking next to the open area with tables and chairs. Booking in was at the bar and when keys are handed over, you go to the residents part of the building which looks as though it is a pub and a house attached. Entry through a separate door to the accommodation and up the stairs to one of the 21 rooms – some are off the yard at the rear which are said to be very good indeed. Our room was small (good job we had no cat to swing about) and it was very clean. There was a small en suite (one at a time please). Just room at each side of the bed to move and drawers and a cupboard wardrobe are provided. There was a TV opposite the bed and tea/coffee making facilities. We had an evening meal in the pub part and this was brilliant as was the huge breakfast next morning. Overall, the stay was very good and we would go back there but have a bigger room (even though we don’t have a cat).

Room Tip: Ask for a large room or one off the yard.

Quality accomodation, superb menus, good beers and wines and tastefully decorated inside and out with gorgeous floral displays everywhere. Highly recommended and Carl the landlord is very friendly and super efficient.

We stayed here before playing the Belfry Golf course, rooms are a reasonable size, there we're 3 guys in a family room and it was big enough for us.
Prices are excellent and include a full english breakfast if you wish, rooms are clean as are the bathrooms, staff are friendly and checking in & out is very easy.
I would recommend staying here without question, just remember that this is a Pub first and foremost.

Room Tip: A Twin room will suit most people

We stayed for two nights B and B in April. The room was tiny couldnt walk around the bed and the bathroom so small. The room are above the pub and as it is a conversion the noise from the pub was disturbing as were other people walking around the building. You could clearly hear conversations going on from downstairs in the bar. Breakfast was ok. The rooms do not have yale locks or automatic locks so another guest just walked in to our room by mistake.
Tamworth as an area is not great however the hotel location is great for Drayton Manor

Room Tip: There is a travel loge/premier inn down the road with a beefeater restaurant attached which might be...

Tamworth Arms is a perfect place to go for a business trip. After an all day traveling I was welcome as member of the family. The room are superb comfortable, and peaceful.
What was great that it was close to get anywhere from there- just a 10 -15 min walk to SnowDome.
The owners where super helpful and really nice, it was pleasure to stay with them.

But I can not spear good words about the breakfast and dinners- they where really tasteful.

It is great place to spend few night, I would recommended to anyone.
